"When McDonald chatted with a group of reporters after the show, he spilled that he didn't know Lambert had covered the song before."
What? Nobody on the Idol staff, no one coaching or working with him, not even Michael Orland thought to mention it????

Nobody on the Idol staff, no one coaching or working with him, not even Michael Orland thought to mention it???? Paul has not watched Idol so he is at a distinct disadvantage because making it into the top 3 or 4 is all about knowing the game, as well as being a good singer.

I think there are certain songs that Idol should retire sort of like retiring the numbers of iconic basketball players - when you have a definitive performance that is so strongly associated with one of the past idols - take it off the list as a mark of respect. I mean it isn't like there is a shortage of other songs out there and would be a great way to get some variety into song choices... there are also some that should be retired through overuse!

mzsue, have you tried to buy through the Itunes US store? I think you can with this link. tinyurl.com/4remy3l ETA: I haven't recieved my GNL yet either. I am getting antsy so I clicked through this link all the way to the 'buy' page. Still deciding. : Thanks geeselouise and aloha and mirages and all. I thought everyone has gone to bed early so I was just venting and having a little pity party. I tried the us store and they just send me off to the Canadian one which does not have it...grrrrr. I just thought that if you could gift the aftermath remix, it should work to gift the movie too. You are all so great for giving a damn!
