I guess my expectations were too high---I'm really disappointed in the album debut; and I really wanted him to come out higher than Carrie:( #16 in the UK where he's not well-known at all, out of every album in the world, with almost no radio support is disappointing? It's great!! ;D Thanks for the encouraging perspective!

Adam's first week numbers in the UK are newsworthy and appropriate to be included in the daily news thread. Discussion of the numbers, their significance, their comparison to other artists, optimism and pessimism should be posted in the numbers thread. Please and thank you.adamtopia.com/index.cgi?board=numbers

Since most folks don't frequent the numbers thread, thought I should post it here as well. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- The UK Official Charts (7/15/2012): ----------------------------------------------------------------------- NOW, let's see how far Adam has come since FYE by revisiting the debut numbers of FYE and the singles: The album FYE did NOT make it in to the Top 40 till the 2nd week, at #36. The song FYE crawled in to the Top 40 at #39 on its 6th week of release, and eventually peaked at #37. WWFM has NEVER made it in to the Top 40, peaked at #53. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- It's a work in progress and unfortunately, there's no instant gratification here but does that make me enjoy & believe in him any less? NOT IN A MILLION YEARS!!!
