Adam doesn't try to distance himself from Idol -- he always comments on how that was his ticket to build his fanbase and get exposure. It worked for him and he is humble enough to be grateful. The industry may have to change it's view on the talent that can obviously come forth from exposure on these types of programs. Come on, the exposure and the money can only be wins for Adam at this point in his career. For me, like it or not, AI will give him exposure plus.

About Adam being in Idol: I think being a judge would actually change him from AI alumn to AI judge. Secondly, he obviously appriciates security that money can give. Thirdly he would like to do it.
Conclusion: Hope it will happen.

Taking a brief break from the waterpark vacation with my little ones to flail about the Pretty Little Liars gig. I really believe the young girls have it in them to fall for Adam's magic so that is great!!
So excited for myself too, because I've been waiting to see Adam in a real acting role. We've seen his one talent/profession but not technically the other. I actually think that maybe acting is a huge part of Adam's magic--he is so good at putting himself into the emotion of the songs he sings. Just watch his Queen performances and tell me there isn't a good bit of acting going on. Also, he tells us his confident persona is sometimes an act. SO, bring on the acting roles Adam and lets see if they eventually lead us to, not just a teenie-bopper following, but also to further acclaim and even bigger roles. I will never be surprise by what this man can accomplish! And it is so fun watching!!!!

I'm sorry about that and I love you guys but I don't consider Adam's judging on Idol to be such a contribution for his career. I agree with you on majority of things but I don't like this idea. I have nothing against Adam regularly appearing on TV screen. But as a judge of AI? He's too young, imho his regular appearances could result into less concerts and at the end of the day slow/down of his music production. The question is if he really depends on it because he can earn much money anywhere ....

And as far as I am concerned, if it's a script it is still acting. I've seen tons of people play themselves and it looks totally awkward and fake. I'm betting Adam will be great. The only problem is it will be easier for others to overlook the acting required for this kind of a role. |
