I gotta say that I rlly loved Casey, James was surprisingly not terrible even tho I want him to be for my own TV viewing enjoyment, and if Jacob makes top 12 I may quit watching because HE DRIVES ME NUTS. The tone of his voice literally makes me cringe just like raw tomatoes trigger my gag reflex--it's like there is nothing I can do about it. I can't take a Ruben Studdard Part 2: Electric Take It To Church-aloo every week. =/ aahh Chunkey, Jacob's gonna make it for sure. if the voters don't put him through the judges will. I didn't watch last year because it was boring. I don't think that will be the case this year and I'm kind of enjoying not giving a sh*t who goes through and who doesn't. In that way Adam broke Idol for me, I just don't care and I'm not invested. What is interesting is that the guys who are good aren't relevant. Maybe that's the way the Powers that Be want it because they want a girl to win this year. It will be fun this year hanging in here because I don't think any of us are particularly invested.

Haa I am not invested but I gotta recap this shite for my site and oh man....at least Lusk will give me good recap fodder. LOL. But yeah he will def make it in thur one way or another, as will Schmadam Schmambert. Actually I think the boys that will go thru Casey James Scotty Paul or Tim a toss up--whoever the little ones found "cuter" lol Jacob I think Clint could be a wild card, ugh, and def Brett would be a wild card.

HaHaHa!! Not an Idolholic huh? I voted for FOUR HOURS for Adam and got about 1000 busy signals.
Sorry, I can't take anyone seriously who doesn't love raw tomatoes. ??? I DO like Casey though!
And Jacob sounds nothing like Ruben Studdard.
That is so TRUE tinafea! Interesting.........

I believe they want a girl to win this year. So far, the guys are def better than last season, though. Didn't watch at all last year, won't vote, but may tune in for results nights, then follow finals. Have a few favs, but think it is betterer that I am not angsting over who wins!

LOL Isn't not caring wonderful? and liberating?
I started watching AI during season five and was incredibly (and naively) invested in Chris Daughtry. I was devastated when he was unceremoniously kicked off. My daughter, who has been watching since the first show, just laughed at me and said I would learn.
And I did learn - not to care so much and if someone is good it doesn't matter because they will be fine. Losing didn't hurt Daughtry and winning hasn't helped some of the winners all that much.
By the time I fell (hard) for Adam, all I prayed for was that he make the top three or four. There is no way that talent was not going to be grabbed up by a record company. I have never followed anyone the way Adam has kept me captivated for the last two years. I started lurking on MJs, found PF and have been following his life daily on Atop since Q3 opened this place for business.
Last year AI was an excruciating bore. There was no one I cared enough about to even download an itunes ditty to show support. You have to be LOOKING for boring, unenthusiastic singers to come up with that bunch though I must admit Crystal has some good songs. I love Mumford & Sons - I was a student in Boston at the end of folk music era and first husband was a musician. I love the folk genre and am so pleased to see it making a resurgence.
So this year the only singer I have a visceral dislike for is that little Alana (Alaina ?) girl. She just sort of creeped me out singing to ST that way - eewwww factor! And where are her parents? That costume (cleavage) was not age appropriate during the green mile episode. I know people think she is uber talented but I ain't buying what she is selling, not yet anyway.
I don't know if any of you ever visit the American Idol website - I find it a truly frightening place. Talk about invested fans..... It would be nice to have a place to talk about AI without fans wars!
Looking forward to tonight though female singers do nothing for me. Don't know why but 95% of the music I buy is male. Of course, I love Pink but she isn't all luv, I will luv you forever, you make my life worthwhile, I would die without you, don't leave, come back. Like a woman with a spine and a little FU in her attitude. Exception - Glitter In The Air - I would swear that one of Adam's lovers wrote the lyrics!
