about 2 hours ago via Twitpic I'm quoting myself. Doesnt ANYONE has to say something about Marina and the Diamonds???Where is she???What does she hear??? Is she in a studio??WHERE???Are the Glamberts bombard her with questions??? I see that Adam tweeted right after Marina said something about going to the studio. So Adam comes out of the studio and Marina goes in??What do you have to say about this?? HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! oh, hadn't thought about it like that, gelly, and i have no idea who "marina" is, but I had just assumed she was a dancer at a dance studio, and some other class "upstairs" was dancing to a loud track of IIHY, or something. You think its something else? ETA: OH, I see now she's some kind of pop star herself (LOL I'm soo clueless and out of the loop sometimes). Kinda digging her sound! Hmmm, that's more intriguing, but I kinda still think its just a dance class track from FYE that she's hearing, though. |

gelly , thanks for trying! I looked at some of the other articles listed under that one, and it was Adam conductor this and Adam conductor that, wonder what that means?

She is from the UK her parents are Greek and i remember a while ago some tweets that had to do with Adam, i wish i remember more about those tweets. I think she had a tour in the US this past summer and she was also in LA maybe someone remembers something more??Something like she was in the same concert (her and Adam I mean) a concert of another singer.... ETA Now I see that she is the support act for the US of Katy Perry for the California Dream tour |

I wouldn't interpret anything from the fact that I didn't know her--there are huge gaps in my pop culture knowledge, LOL. she may well be massively famous here, too. I've just checked out a few of her songs and I quite like them--I like the slight new-wave-y weirdness of her. What do you think of a partnership between her and Adam? (not that we have any reason right now to think there is one.) |

(I knew about Chris Brown since I saw him on Sesame Street singing and dancing with Elmo - yep. I liked him. I think he's talented - and, unfortunately, violent. Still.)
But, yeah, I'd definitely be mad about ABC banning Adam whether or not CB ever even existed, that's true! I only think it's related to the degree mysogyny and homophobia are.
Interestng to me - but not related to Adam, so I won't go there - is Rhiana's choice of imagery/song/mv as it relates to domestic violence, S&M, etc. If anyone has thoughts about that, PM me - we'll talk!)

For some reason I decided to go back a few pages to check something and I discovered I had skipped 4 pages!! Can't figure out how it happened, but right now every page is like a gift because there are so few of them. :D
The AMA subject is winding down but hasn't died completely so I'll make 2 final comments:
- He has never been rescheduled for the Jimmy Kimmel Show, GMA or DC NYE. That's a pretty long punishment for....what?
- I LIKED the performance. It didn't seem any raunchier to me than the acts that came before it. (Yes, the vocals were off but I didn't notice that til the next day.)
So that's it.
Interesting about the tweet from Marina. Probably a recording but with so little news it's fun to grab at anything. GRABS...
ETA - Just saw your post about Rihanna bridget. I haven't seen the entire video - just snippets, but there was a discussion about it on Issues (HLN) last night. They loved the song but not the video.

Wandering through two Fred Meyer's stores today in Portland (a big supermarket/grocery chain in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Alaska) looking for printer cartridges and found a few Glamnation DVDs in new releases in music!
So Pacific Northwesterners, tell your friends, they can pick one up w/ their groceries and don't have to brave big-box store parking lots or drive out to the suburbs. :D

midwifespal No I dont think that tweet had anything to do with a partnership. I only thought that maybe she was at the same studio that Adam was and waiting to get there after Adam finished his session (dreaming) As for a partnership with Adam if I see it from a selfish point of view (regarding Adam I mean) since she's very popular in the UK I am all for it. I like her. Interesting I saw her wiki page and it says that Diamandis has a synaesthetic condition that involves seeing musical notes and days of the week in different colours. This is something we talked about isnt it?
