This is an ultraconservative newspaper, and a good review is great!!! They were not so kind in the past.

I had a great time at the concert last night. I enjoyed meeting several members of this forum and chatting before the concert. I thought that Adam's energy level was great and that he owned the stage with his moves and confidence. The back up singers allow him to improvise which he loves to do. You can't change things up much with backing tracks. I agree with mys*&@^#r that the sound mix was the best I have heard at an Adam concert. The banks of colored lights behind him really added to the performance. I think that when people are constantly talking about the occasional perceived off key moment of the back up singers or something else that was not perfect it just increases the negativity on this forum. I think that is why we have lost many fun posters like Chunky.

If there is a curfew, then why have an opening act that cuts down on the main act's time! I don't get it! Although the venue curfew might have been a factor, Lambert’s hour-long, 13-song set – the same length of his July 2010 performance here, despite having double the amount of original material to pull from now – still seemed awfully short. I would have axed middling opening Nashville electronic rock group This is She to provide more breathing room.

Really great review!!!! and this music critic thought the VJJ's were pretty damn good. Because they are and add so much to the show. The other OC reviewer also liked them a lot.

People (okay..me) are afraid to post anything which might be construed as negative even though WE ALL KNOW THAT ANY MEMBER HERE ADORES AND SUPPORTS ADAM FUCKING LAMBERT. Fun is not restricted to puppies and rainbows. :-/ So adam hits a few (very few) bum notes. Who cares? Don't know why we can't mention it.

I don't have much of an opinion about their singing but I LOVE Adam's interaction with the girls....his dance with them during Wilkes-Barre was the highlight of the show for me and my daughter...and he obviously really, really enjoys performing with them. Plus they're darn sweet.

The facility used to have concerts all summer long, but there were many complaints in the surrounding neighborhood regarding noise, so now they are restricted to having concerts only during the OC Fair. Personally, I would have preferred no opening act and more Adam, but what we got last night from him and the band was so good, I'm not gonna complain.

Doesn't mean they hate Adam and want to drive ATOP into a black hole of negativity...

People (okay..me) are afraid to post anything which might be construed as negative even though WE ALL KNOW THAT ANY MEMBER HERE ADORES AND SUPPORTS ADAM FUCKING LAMBERT. Fun is not restricted to puppies and rainbows. :-/ Well, I think the issue is that there are quite a few criticisms of various aspects of the concert (sound quality, the back-up singers, the band, etc.) based solely on YouTube videos, most of which have crappy audio quality that bears little resemblance to what the concert actually sounded like. I was actually at the concert, so my comments were an attempt to provide some perspective from an actual concert-goer's viewpoint, not to dissuade other people from posting. Everyone is entitled to their opinion of course and a forum where everything is puppies and rainbows would be a buzzkill, but if folks are going to criticize a performance, then you've got to expect a response from those who have a different perspective on the event. ETA: I guess I don't see any of this as negativity -- just healthy debate and sharing of ideas.
