[ties on lolly-covered mod hat] Hey guys. Critiques of concerts (and anything else) *IS* indeed allowed on ATOP. No need to walk on eggshells. However, ;D , as I reminded peeps this morning, critiques should keep in mind the limitations of the equipment providing the critique material. As I'm often forced to do at work, peeps providing critiques should be sensitive of talking about something when you only have a piece of data. For example, this week I had to write " Based on report xyz, I think that this piece of machinery is unsuitable". The analogous statement on ATOP would be " Based on what I'm hearing on the <livestream/YouTube>, Adam's voice not amplified enough and the instruments are drowning him out". That way, when someone at the concert says " The sound was the best EVAH!!! Sound guy didn't screw up and the concert was FAB!!!!!!" any negative issues can be properly blamed on the mode of transmission and not on the concert itself. :D :D In a sense, it was almost easier when concerts only showed up in mermish, as we KNEW that we couldn't tell what was going on! But with all the fabulous and awesome peeps instantly gratifying us with streams and vids, its now sometimes difficult to step back and acknowledge that what we perceive isn't always the full reality. THAT DOESN'T MEAN YOU CAN'T TALK ABOUT IT!!! [laughs] It just means that you have to acknowledge what you're actually referring to. Thanks guys! I'm just peeking out for pretty much the first time since Queenbert in London. Hi :D. On the second night supardu and I grinned at each other on the final big note on WATC! Perfect, couldn't do it any better, don't mind (too much) missing the final show 'cos that was perfect! Back at the hotel, we watched the first of the downloads to come in and (again) looked at each other on the same note - eeeeew -!!!. Now, we heard it live and know it wasn't flat, but it would be hard to convince a doubter using that recording :-/. And our original responses were spontaneous and not coloured by the other in any way, I can promise you that . I know it's always been said that you don't get the full beauty of Adam's voice until hearing it live; but I never realised, till now, that a recording could actually change the perception of a note : .

I had a great time at the concert last night. I enjoyed meeting several members of this forum and chatting before the concert. I thought that Adam's energy level was great and that he owned the stage with his moves and confidence. The back up singers allow him to improvise which he loves to do. You can't change things up much with backing tracks. I agree with mys*&@^#r that the sound mix was the best I have heard at an Adam concert. The banks of colored lights behind him really added to the performance. I think that when people are constantly talking about the occasional perceived off key moment of the back up singers or something else that was not perfect it just increases the negativity on this forum. I think that is why we have lost many fun posters like Chunky. It was fun meeting you last night! Have fun in round 2 today!

Funny, one of the commercial breaks featured Pretty Little Liars.

I think a forum consisting of nothing but puppies and rainbows would be boring and fans are certainly allowed to express their feelings. HOWEVER - and a big HOWEVER - a barrage of criticisms coming from people who are watching sometimes not-so-good videos and hearing inaccurate audio hold little weight for me compared to fans and music critics who were actually at the event and experienced the show live. This is fair, I think. 8-)

"Limp-wristed" is a slur.
—adj.Slang (disparaging and offensive).
1. effeminate. 2. soft; flabby; ineffectual.
I don't find that an accurate description of Adam.
"Offensive." By definition. Writer-dude needs to choose better words.

ADAM LAMBERT - Pop That Lock, NCOE - Pac Amph 7-19-12Published on Jul 20, 2012 by cos2mwiz I hope Adam sees this video. I hope Adam tweets this video! The sound and visuals are great and it captures so much--a terrific new performance of "Pop That Lock," fun, comfortable banter (including a mention of fans and Twitter), his lovely comments about Queen, the encouragement to buy the album, crowd shots, and him singing the current single! Plus he looks so damn good! lol, I thought he was channelling Sheldon of Big Bang Theory when he talked about buying 10 more albums even if you already have. He was cute.
