I had this funny feeling that it was my post about missing Brian May that started all of this 8-) No, I don't think so.

Actually I think the very opposite. The only negativity I see are posters complaining about negativity. People (okay..me) are afraid to post anything which might be construed as negative even though WE ALL KNOW THAT ANY MEMBER HERE ADORES AND SUPPORTS ADAM FUCKING LAMBERT. Fun is not restricted to puppies and rainbows. :-/ So adam hits a few (very few) bum notes. Who cares? Don't know why we can't mention it. But that's just it, he didn't hit a few bum notes. If someone wasn't there, unless it is something as obvious as that IIHY where he acknowledged he was singing in 6 different keys, I find it disheartening to see so much criticism using just You Tubes. It totally took me by surprise after being at a wonderful concert last night. Not gonna lie, it has made me not want to be here all day! :(
Yup. :-/

Adam was very flamboyant last night---the wrist was working in Pop That Lock. I am super open and about as liberal as they come, but I do think the "homophic" label gets thrown around too much in this fandom. And at people that fans don't even really know. I mean, Brian Mansfield has been tagged with it, for example, and there is a list of others. I just think, unless you really now the person, people need to be careful with "homophobic."

In that amazing and thrilling Adam way. Everybody at that concert confirms that. No one at the concert has had anything but praise for Adam's vocals or for the sound. You know how it is. When you have had that Adam experience you want to come here and celebrate! Concerts are too short, lol, so I try to drag them out here by reliving fun moments. I am having fun watching the cosm2 vids.

out of an otherwise great review that's not worth even getting pissed about IMO. Adam was decidedly flamboyant last night and the wrist was working it. Then it's good nobody is claiming that YOU should get pissed. Likewise, other people will not tolerate homophobia in any form, even if it's payola for a decent review. In my opinion it's much more outrageous to tell a child "your singing sucks" versus "you're a limp wristed excuse for a boy". And GLAAD agrees with me. Not everyone is cut out to try and improve society some people are happy to flail their lives away. I don't think either side needs lectures or advise on their actions. www.glaad.org/actions/testosteroneproblemI thought the limp wristed comment was insulting and I was pissed, too. However, I fianlly watched the videos and I had to laugh. Adam was doing his stereotype of gay. Mr. Oliver didn't get it. Slurs are real. (I don't know if they're homophobia, I don't even know if I buy that term - what the hell is anyone really afraid of anyway?) But I do think slurs are hateful and demeaning and damaging.
You know, there was a time I never thought twice about "Indian" or Native American college mascots. Just didn't think about it. When someone who was Native American told me it was offensive, though, I believed her. I didn't tell her she was acting like the girl who cried wolf and that no one would listen to her when REALLY offensive stuff happened.
When someone says "call me Kate," I don't refuse and insist on calling them "Catherine." I don't tell her to quit "screaming"; I just respect that she knows what she'd like to be called.
"Limp-wristed" is not a positive or even neutral descriptor. It's a slur. It's not "crying wolf" to say slurs hurt.

I don't think either side needs lectures or advise on their actions. www.glaad.org/actions/testosteroneproblemare you denying that Adam was much more flamboyant last night than he's been in the past? The writer could have and should have found a different way to express his observation but it wasn't inaccurate in terms of how Adam performed. Did you see the "werk bitch" gestures? LOL that wrist was getting a work out that's for sure. Like I said (and it's only my opinion) throwing around homophobia at every turn desensitizes people to real cases of homophobia. asking people to be PC 24/7 so as not to be labeled homophobic seems a bit extreme to me. Was the guy biased against Adam in any way? Did the review reflect a homophobic opinion (other than a poorly worded couple of words)? IMO no, it didn't. TO ME: that review was purely homophobic, setting the stage clearly from the very beginning: the author made every effort to demean Adam (by using trigger words/images) and by planting comparative images of Scotty (wholesome, etc)... IMO - typical raging right wing garbage... However, he had at least enough integrity to admit that the concert was superb. More importantly: STREAMING TONIGHT? Hope lambertlust is planning to do so and his connection is better tonight. It is hard to believe that we have only one person in CA who is willing to stream... :'(anybody with unlimited data plan? I know it is hard work... :-[, so sorry for being greedy and entitled....)
