Doing something I know I shouldn't be doing: posting before reading the entire thread. But I'm tempted to jump in and I have no self restraint, lol, so sorry in advance.
1) About the review: I agree with a few others: "limp-wristed" is a slur. It doesn't matter if it was a positive review, and it doesn't matter if Adam was camping it up with the best of 'em on stage last night--using a word so firmly and traditionally rooted in negative and bigoted stereotyping of gays is offensive. Placing the word, as it was, in a sentence harping on his "caked on make-up" and "poof-y hair" (um, yeaaah) only makes it more blatant.
I'd have no problem with a reviewer pointing out that Adam's sexuality contributed to his winning performance last night. This may win me scowls from some people here, but I'd be fine with a reviewer commenting that, in his campiness, Adam was bringing some traditionally-gay sass and charm to a typically mainstream stage. But as far as I'm concerned, using a slur is offensive, plain and simple. The only way you get a pass in my book is if you are gay yourself and are taking over offensive language for your own purposes--the rest of us don't have a clue, and have no right to that word.
2) I looooooved the vids from last night. So so jelly of you lucky attendees. I kinda see why people might have thought Adam seemed tired, though I didn't get tired at all. What I got was mellow, and it was lovely. I totally see how Adam was energized by Queen, the challenge of Queen, the challenge of an uncertain crowd. But here he was with his own material in his own format with his own fans, and to me it showed in a wonderful ease. He didn't even need to take off his shoes to be barefoot--even with them on he "felt barefoot" to me in a way that, even barefoot, he didn't feel with Queen -- lol I'm not making any sense at all sorry (and I looooved the Queen concerts, too, but the energy there to me was totally different. He seemed amazingly comfortable on stage with them--not saying he didn't--but it was a giddy, revved up sort of comfort--a dammit I'm fucking doing this comfort). The vids last night seemed so easy. I love seeing Adam challenge himself--push the limits--but I love easy Adam too. (What can I say--I like my sexpots easy ;D).

The awesome squeeeeing is what I love most on this board, you know, smile, chest hair, arms, legs, GB ;D etc, the critical remarks, not so much. He has enough critics in the real world. I know we mean well, but I'm here for the love of Adam and what ever he does or wears is fine with me, just keep those pants tight! ;D

When Adam took his shoes off last night, I noticed that the inside footbed was red. So do you think they might be men's Christian Louboutins and they are made red on the inside as opposed to women's which have a red sole?
Inquiring minds want to know?

I saw that ringtone but when I clicked on it, it said that it was not available or some such. I don't know, I thought maybe it had been pulled.

Adam was very flamboyant last night---the wrist was working in Pop That Lock. I am super open and about as liberal as they come, but I do think the "homophic" label gets thrown around too much in this fandom. And at people that fans don't even really know. I mean, Brian Mansfield has been tagged with it, for example, and there is a list of others. I just think, unless you really now the person, people need to be careful with "homophobic." I'm going to put myself down on your side of the argument. When I first read the article the top paragraph did just about have me flipping my lid, then I read the 2nd part and it was like a different person who wrote it. And then I went back and reread the top.... I couldn't get myself to feel the same "OMG he said what" moment again. The obvious enjoyment of the concert in the 2nd part, the research showing the change ups in the songs, to descriptions of of funkadelic and a delighted audience, and for me the whole vibe of the top paragraph turns more into a review that says this is a concert for adults who can handle the fab. The author was trying to be a bit too cute and for himself probably doesn't get the "alpha male" vibe that many Glamberts want to brand Adam with. He may want to get someone to read his intros next time but I don't see any malicious intent either.
