BREATHE....BREATHE....BREATHE.....it really works.
I think some folks are just on youtube review stress. If your goal as Adam fan is to not miss out on any video ever, then you are officially on high stress since months, because Adam is on one hell of a mofo trip through life and there are tons of people capturing it - every bit of it.
Just like this one reviewer who said, going to and reviewing this concert was something he thought of as punishment (and then turned out quite surprised he liked it in spite of clearly personal bias), I think some folks here have become mini-critics, each in their individual style, some flail-only sales people, some critical reviewers, some accountants counting whatever (notes, hand-movements, etc)
And these different departments are starting to rub against each other, each telling the other that they are not fun.
Sales folks don't understand why negatives have to be brought up or reviewed, operational folks don't understand how anything could be improved and understood, if not everything is out in the open and discussed, accountants think they are called to accuracy and why is there anything wrong with documenting that.
I get that.....but we are not running this business....we are fans....we don't need to fix or report or sell anything.....we just are here to enjoy.
And in today's thread, while I can kind of understand all perspectives on the discussion or non-discussion spectrum, what I am missing is the JOY.
I presently cannot be here a ton. Today I finally had time to read a complete thread again and I am amazed at this thread, not so much because different temperaments and mentalities are butting heads, but because I think some folks need to get off the stanning treadmill for a bit.
Believe me, you'll come back happy and joyful for the bounty Adam provides, Queen related or Trespassing related (or idol or PLL or whatever else I may have missed recently). There is always so much going on.
I don't see any tiredness in Adam, none whatsoever, I can't even begin to tell you how surprised I am to read that some felt that. I see a guy who is busting his butt and yet smiles at me in every video I open like this is his first day at this job and he is all happiness and cheery and delighted to be here. I have no idea where he finds the energy to do that with all the travel, double duty and all....but I sure think that whatever source he has, we here need to tap into a bit.
We should be such a very happy fanbase right now. LOOK! I think it is not Adam who is tired, sometimes I think it is us.
So, with that said: Let's
a) step off the treadmill
b) enjoy the ride
c) don't take other people too seriously
d) detox, de-stress and let's have fun
Ok, I'm done with my soapbox for today. I love listening and looking.
THANK YOU ADAM, FOR ALL THE GOODIES. YOU ARE WONDERFUL!
