Adam looked and sounded incredible last night - thanks everyone for the videos!! Loved the slacks although I'm not sure they allowed for proper appreciation of his dancing. (note "bendy legs" during Dragon Attack ;D). Also love how he refreshes his performance wardrobe here and there with a fabulous new piece, but generally recycles what he already owns. Very cool in my books. mayumi.....very touching post. So lovely that you and your friend had a wonderful time. Memories you'll both cherish. AleksandraKv....I love everything you write. Mayumi, I understand your feelings so well. Spending time with someone so ill takes a lot of your strength and also gives an amount of strength back at the same time. Strange, but true! Concerts make you feel good, full of energy and bring you to enjoy and embrace the moment. I feel the same like Seoulmate - like crying and laughing at the same time. *hugs to you and your friend*  :2tears: |

It is great to hear A singing his own music again... I do miss the sheer biggness of the sound from Queen shows and they have pretty much same number of musicians on stage plus back up singers so no reason they couldn't beef it up as appropriate. Of course music style is quite different but I also miss Dr Bri weaving his guitar magic - not so much the rock bits but the way he would weave it to the melody really bought the music to life. Queen is known for their "wall of sound".....so, can't compare. I do wish Tommy's guitar was more front and center. I like a lead guitar, I consider it as another vocalist. I want to like Tommy as the lead but he hasn't grabbed me yet -- maybe cuz I just can't seen to hear him. I wonder what the industry spin in on him as a lead? Has anyone ever critiqued the band? eta: soooooo happy to have Adam back Stateside and singing his own stuff.....just needed to add that! |

Can't get the videos from last night's concert on YouTube.. Just keeps spinning but won't play.
I can get them on Adamtopia ,but nowhere else..Wonder what's up??
I can't take the back up singers, I walked into another room,while playing videos, to see if I was hearing things,but IMHO, they are sharp they are flat and they are loud. I find their voices to be a major distraction..
Maybe they sound different live.. How were they live for those who saw Adam last night. You would know better than anyone else.
