Does anyone know the easiest source for getting the UK version of TSP in physical CD form? Thanks! I ordered mine through Amazon UK. (I live in Canada) I already have an Amazon account but I had to switch the country I was ordering from to the UK. So after pre-ordering I received it about 2 weeks after its release in UK so not bad really.

Thanks to all of you who posted passionate opinions today. Whether I agree, disagree, or am indifferent to the various discussions here, I appreciate that people can have them. I almost always gain some insight to human nature. I'm curious about why some people who are not interested post comments about needing to scroll or "another topic, please." If I'm not enjoying a topic, I just scroll without making comments that seem like attempts to end other members' discussions. I guess I enjoy the variety and am not averse to heated, but polite, discourse. And now it is time for me to get myself to bed--I've been up since 4:15 a.m. I'm a night person, and this is SO off my natural rhythm. See you all in the morrow. Hoping for AI news soon.

Does anyone know the easiest source for getting the UK version of TSP in physical CD form? Thanks! Amazon UK, $16 and that includes shipping. Arrives in less than a week! ETA: Looks like it's slightly more and takes slightly longer for Canada. Why is that? :dunno:

Thanks for your help, everyone! I tried Amazon and it's telling me it can't ship to my location (Canada). Don't know why. I'll see if I can figure it out. PS - Is there just one version or a regular and Deluxe? I want the two bonus tracks. ETA - mys*&@^#r - we're just special, I guess!

So after pre-ordering I received it about 2 weeks after its release in UK so not bad really. I pre-ordered mine from HMV.com, £9.00 plus £4.50 shipping, about $21. I don't remember what day it arrived, but they shipped it out 4 days before it was released in the UK and it didn't take too long to get here. We bought physical copies at the HMV stores while in London, they mostly sold out their few copies on the first day, but had restocked by Thusday in much larger quantities. A few clerks we spoke to said they were surprised, they didn't realize he would be so popular, and that's why they initially ordered such small quantities. :D

RE Kellie Pickler's accent: I was taught BrE in school, to be more precise RP BrE. RP stands for received pronunciation. In Serbian as well, only RP is allowed in schools. So, as soon someone opens their mouth, you can tell the level of their education. Detecting regional accents in one's speech is generally frowned upon. Having said that, I want to add that I know nothing about AmE accent policy and I am deeply sorry if I have offended anyone by my careless comment. No worries -- there are many cultural differences between countries, and it would be difficult for us to know all of them! The U.S. is a very large country with a large number of regional accents. You can find different accents even within the same state. In addition, we have a large immigrant population, which means many people speaking English accented with their own native inflections. So, in the U.S., regional accents are not frowned upon, and there is no attempt to remove them or to teach one uniform English pronunciation. Hopes this helps! While this is basically correct, there are certain US accents that are not really acceptable in certain situations or for certain jobs. This applies both to some regional US accents and to some Americans who speak English as a second language. Many people, including Southerns with strong accents like Kellie Pickler, attend reduction classes. Here are two examples: www.eltlearn.com/accentreduction.htm continue.miami.edu/coursedetail.aspx?c=57
