I am thinking that the VH1 Do Something Award is sort of important because it highlights charity work, and there is an TV awards show on VH1. Even though it is a small audience, it is nice to be mentioned or shown on an awards ceremony on TV.

Finally got a break from real life and got to go see Adam live in Des Moines. It’s been two long years and many opportunities cancelled because of real life issues. Of course, Adam did not disappoint. Here are a few thoughts/observations…etc. Adam looked fabulous and just has this aura of joy around him. He made it seem like there was no where else he’d rather be than in the middle of Iowa on a rainy Saturday. My friend who I dragged along kept commenting on how happy he looked. It’s hard not to get caught up in it, because his smile is infectious. I was in the middle of a group of pretty hard core (if that’s possible) Train fans, who were there more to save their seats than watch Adam, but they were all on their feet within a minute or two and bopping and smiling with the rest of us. Several told me how impressed they were with his voice and stage presence…maybe a few converts. The one thing they weren’t enamored with was the OTT of some fans. I do think at the radio concerts when many are there for other artists, the overly decked out Glamberts can be a little bit of a detriment to Adam…just my opinion. Lots of teens in the crowd too and everyone in my section was on their feet and dancing along to his whole set. I was hoping this would satisfy my need for an Adam fix for a bit, but it was just too short and to “family friendly”…it was just enough Adam to make me REALLY REALLY need to see him again…SOON!! ETA: deleted a decription of an OTT very enthusiastic fan as to not offend anyone

Hey, I paid good money for that outfit! >:(
Just kidding. I wasn't even there.

Let's not rehash the older fan discussion -- it is really become an overly discussed subject that has been going on since the Idol tour. Has not seemed to effect Adam one way or the other because it is a small minority of fans.
Thanks!
----
Idol seems intent on finally having a country judge -- Brad Paisley would knock out Carrie, not Adam. Country is the #1 genre in the US so it makes market sense. I am surprised it took them so long.
By the way, the report is from Country Vibe who has a source confirming that country superstar, Brad Paisley is meeting with American Idol execs this week about possibly joining the judges’ panel. So another unnamed source with what appears to be a planned leak.

I think the more you go the more you need more of Adam. The ' REALLY REALLY need to see him again" - is the way it is for so many! ;D Re fans: I am on the team - "wear what the heck you feel like" and if it looks crazy to someone - it's that person's problem. Fans of others are not my concern at all( they are not evolved enough to stan Adam - so I would ignore them anyway)

curlybobofelia.blogspot.gr/2012/07/album-review-adam-lambert-trespassing.html?spref=twThis is my personal blog, where I will decide to have long rants about things that appear to wonder around in my tiny mind. My Queen fan blog is keepcalmandlistentoqueen.tumblr.com so if you're obsessed with Queen as much as me, that's where you need to go. Spreaker: www.spreaker.com/user/curlybobofeliaMonday, 30 July 2012 Album Review - Adam Lambert: Trespassing 1. Trespassing - This song really gets you going. The stomps and claps make you want to rock along with it. This is the more rock side to Adam in this opening track and it's one of my favourites. Adam's vocals soar over the amazing bass riff and heavy guitar. As soon as this track plays, you just want to dance to it. Love it. 2. Cuckoo - We then move on to the more dance-pop era with his track. The dance beats are good because they're not right in your face like most artists these days. 3. Shady - The vocals in this are sooo good. The bends at the end of vocal lines are so smooth and sexy, it's sizzling. This song has a funky edgy sound to it which just makes you want to swing along to it. And it's also good to hear Sam Sparro's voice again Overall Rating - 8/10. This album is great, you can really tell how much Adam has developed as a music artist. Ok, some of the tunes weren't that good, but that's the case of most albums. Haven't really listened to his first album but with some of the singles I've heard from there, this new album is a big step in the right direction. And with 17 tracks on this, there sure will be something for everyone to love. My faves are Trespassing, Shady, Better Than I Know Myself, Never Close Our Eyes, Underneath and Naked Love. I'm glad Brian and Roger were able to recognise Adam's talent with vocals and they did concerts with him. So even if you're not that fond of dance music, like myself, but you want to hear amazing vocals with that hint of drive and power, Adam's your man. I think I have turned into a Glambert! more
