Maybe Idol talked to Adam and they couldn't work out a deal?? Just speculating. I'm beginning to think It's not going to be Adam.. there have been no more news leaks . Oh well.. moving on I'm with you.

Just curious, how long did it take you to download? It took me about 18 hours or so. And yes looking back - it is the one from Queenzone. I was gonna complain about it taking me 24+ hours, but I don't whine. So, I won't say anything. 8-)

As much as I hate to say it, this panel makes sense to me: Mariah, Pharell, and Nick Jonas. It ticks all the boxes (except country, and I'm not really sure if they need to wander down that lonesome road--ugh--sorry, couldn't help myself ; the point is country music doesn't really need Idol to find a star; it's pretty insular). Boy bands are big. Nick Jonas is actually known as a multi-instrumentalist and the most talented of the JoBros. They also were huge and still have an enormous name recognition. Nick Jonas, of all people, knows how to deal with sudden fame. So, I wouldn't be that upset if this turns out to be the final: unlike, say, if were Mariah, Kid Rock, John Mayer, Bret Michaels. (I'm thinking worst-case scenario: three d-bags and a diva. ;D) And who knows? Maybe they would have Adam come on to do one of his Pharell tracks? ETA: Plus, I'm sure they have a need to find a younger judge, with all the accusations of being oldy-moldy, but without alienating older audience members (is Nick still wearing his Promise Ring? )

No doubt he has a lot of Twitter followers but that is from when the JBs were really popular. His solo album (released on 10/11/11) has sold 25,000 units. He was dropped by his label. IMO he would be a meh judge. Hopefully, it was just an interview and they moved on. Plus, he broke up with Taylor Swift over the phone. (Unforgivable in my book.) But that was when he was big. BUT I like the idea of Pharrell -- he is smart and honest and funny. He would be a big get. Fact correction: It was Joe Jonas, not Nick, who dated Taylor Swift and allegedly broke up with her over the phone or text or whatever. LOL get your teen drama right! hehehe I also think that Joe Jonas was the one with the solo album that you have figures from. Nick went on to star on Broadway, in Les Mis I think. I also think Nick would be a really boring judge, and a bad choice. I was just saying that I see why they would consider him seriously (and even pick him maybe) ETA: Yes, I just checked, and the Jonas brother with the album released in Oct 2011 and dropped by his label was Joe, not Nick. I think right now Nick is definitely the most popular of the brothers. Nick also appeared in a few episodes of "Smash" last season, and he stepped into the lead role of "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying" on Broadway after Daniel Radcliffe left the show. Unfortunately, after Nick joined the show ticket sales tanked and the show closed earlier than expected. So he definitely has more marquee value than the other Jonas Brothers. But I'm wondering whether he will be popular enough with TV viewers to help pull in an audience for Idol.

So I just watched the Cuckoo vid and imo the expression on Adam's face is pretty telling. Reminds me of his look when some people asked him about Sauli's English at a radio show. I think Adam has a pretty high level of tolerance for OTT behavior when it comes to himself. Probably not so much when his bf is involved. He obviously adores and is proud of Sauli and seems pretty unamused at things that come off as disrespecting him. Personally I think the writing was tasteless although I would guess that the woman who threw it did it without bad intent. Anyway, I think what we forget is that our sensibilities aren't the same as Adam's. Sometimes we are more sensitive to things than Adam, and sometimes less. We think we know him but we really don't. And our personal opinions about things really have no bearing on how Adam feels about them. But I'd venture to say that fans might want to take a hint and treat Adam's relationship with respect. How do you manage to express EVERYTHING I wanted to say but I never can, I don't know. I've watched the video many times cause I wanted to be sure that what I thought in the first place is not my imagination. Now I see it's not only me. That's actually what I was talking about in my original post. ohhh.. i think at 2:58 Adam finally got to read what's written on that panties, his face changed and he's not smiling anymore and decided not to play with it.. >:( . I am so glad that I was not the only one who saw it and honestly I have never seen his expression like that.

I fixed my post to reflect the right Jonas -- but Nick would not be much of a judge either. And he and the JBs were dropped by Hollywood Records. His last release was an EP of show tunes from How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying -- on Broadway Records (indie label).
And he is the one that is the jerk. So I sort of had the right one.

I think US Mag is probably right. That means we have reliable reports of 3 people meeting with Idol regarding the remaining judges slots --Brad Paisley (2 sources), Nike Jonas (US Mag) and Pharrell Williams (US Mag).
Seems to me this is not settled yet or Brad Paisley would not be in there this week.
---
I am still not a big fan of Adam being a regular part of Idol, so I will not be sad if they pick other judges. (The show is old and tired now. And hard to see how they refresh it because the audience is so big they cannot risk much change.) But if Adam gets offered something and takes it, and it makes him happy, it is his life and his career. I will be happy either way.
---
ETA: Fox execs will be deciding this one. I think that fans have no influence whatsoever.
IMHO they could do just about anything but I do not think they can afford to take any risks. They will pick big stars to try to stop the ratings fall and perhaps bring in new viewers. Brad Paisley seem like a good choice for that. I am less sure about how many fans Mariah has now vs. when she was at her peak.
