Is anybody buying Sauli's issue of Fault? I've been vacillating. On one hand, I really don't need another magazine or any more angst in having said magazine delivered. On the other hand, I would like to support Adam by supporting Sauli -- I love the fact that Sauli has made Adam so happy. I guess maybe I'll buy it and decide I'm just supporting the arts in general!!! haha... IMO - the best way to support Adam is to buy a few more albums... unless you really want to have Fault with Sauli  |

Okay.. Brad Paeley flew to LA .. Nick flew to LA.. .. Everybody's flying to LA to talk to Fox Executives.. Do WE need to fly to LA too to talk to FOX??? Just let me know when!

I really don't know what to think about Adam getting the AI judge spot. I just get the feeling that Adam knows of something big in store for him. He has been almost giddy with excitement lately. He hints that there is more to come etc. I was sure it was the AI spot but maybe there is something else we don't know about.

I think Nick would be a really BLAH choice. Adam would bring some excitement - he has already proven to be a good mentor. And the idea of a country guy leaves me cold. :-/ I think Pharrell and Adam would be perfect - and I am totally objective in that. heh.  Q3-I am for most anything that would get Adam's face on television before millions of people every week. 8-) |

I fixed my post to reflect the right Jonas -- but Nick would not be much of a judge either. And he and the JBs were dropped by Hollywood Records. His last release was an EP of show tunes from How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying -- on Broadway Records (indie label). And he is the one that is the jerk. So I sort of had the right one. -- I think US Mag is probably right. That means we have reliable reports of 3 people meeting with Idol regarding the remaining judges slots --Brad Paisley (2 sources), Nike Jonas (US Mag) and Pharrell Williams (US Mag). Seems to me this is not settled yet or Brad Paisley would not be in there this week. --- I am still not a big fan of Adam being a regular part of Idol, so I will not be sad if they pick other judges. (The show is old and tired now. And hard to see how they refresh it because the audience is so big they cannot risk much change.) But if Adam gets offered something and takes it, and it makes him happy, it is his life and his career. I will be happy either way. --- ETA: Fox execs will be deciding this one. I think that fans have no influence whatsoever. IMHO they could do just about anything but I do not think they can afford to take any risks. They will pick big stars to try to stop the ratings fall and perhaps bring in new viewers. Brad Paisley seem like a good choice for that. I am less sure about how many fans Mariah has now vs. when she was at her peak. I really haven't followed AI the last couple of years, but thought that they had used some interim judges when they were travelling around the country in the early stages. Is it possible some of these folks are being considered for that type of thing? Or is Fox just trying to let fans of every genre know that one of "theirs" is in the running? : |

But we really have very few clues. My dream is that he got tour funding for a real tour and bigger venues and real sets. Maybe a beautiful co-touring deal. |

As I have said from day one I hope the slot goes to someone else. It's a dying show and he's already trying to live down that he comes from that show. Plus all the looney tune people associated with it. I can understand fandom but there is anti-fans who make it a career to stalk people from the show. Totally OTT cray no lifers. If he was a mentor or a guest fine but I don't think a spot as a judge on a dying show on it's last couple of years. Especially a cray show like American Idol. I'd rather see him mentor or not be involved. He already said he wasn't approached. I'll bet his name was tossed out there as it was a couple of years back. I was also so pleased that Sonisphere was canceled. So not the crowd for Adam to be in front of. Much better to be in front of Queen fans.
