I just can't angst over what may or may not happen next.
Other than providing me with music and musings every day, Adam is an example of how one faces and overcomes obstacles; one who finds a way; and his journey has made me better. If Idol isn't in the cards, I believe he is already into the next project, the next adventure.
Enough worries come my way in 'real life'.
Look at the positives in this man we love! We know how to love him, but do we really know him?
Adam is in love, baby.

A tour in 2013 - big or small, there will be a tour!
Respect . . . from the likes of Elton John, Pharrell, Nile, Justin Timberlake, critics who 'matter', 'celebrities'. . . the list of those who recognize, acknowledge and respect his talent, ethic, honesty is growing . . .
Without knowing Adam, I sense he realizes that 'success' is more than money; he sees money as a vehicle and a support for projects and the expansion of his dream; money is not the measure of success nor is it the measure of the man.
If these current dreams of Idol and radio hits don't come true, Adam will still create and perform and prosper. I'll always be there to experience him (maybe even in the front row, now and then); and he will have fame, privacy, and a real world in which to live - just like Sam Sparro, Jake Shears, Nikka Costa, Alisan, Ferras, Terrance, Mario, Sutan, and other amazingly talented people who are recognized by a population other than top 40 listeners and radio programmers.
Between you and me, though, I feel Adam will be iconic - just as Paula Abdul said. It will take awhile. True icons weave their way into history over time.
My short-term wish???
Put Adam on Jeopardy!
He'll clean up! Just don't let him into the 'geography' category!
