Radio is the usually way to get the massive exposure needed to propel pop sales, but this did not happen for Adam, and I see no reason why all of a sudden radio would change course and embrace the third single after two that went nowhere. That leaves repeated appearance on a widely watched TV show as another vehicle for the massive exposure needed for sales. This is why I have been walking around with a nervous knot in my stomach over Idol's flirtation with Adam and the judgeship. If someone knows of another avenue that provides this kind of exposure, I would love to know about it.

Anyone who has seen/heard Nick Jonas in the 25th Anniversary Concert of Les Miz knows he has no business on a judging panel of a singing talent show. But then that didn't stop J-Lo or Brittany from
being cast as judges.

It is easy to remember the hits that people perform on Idol and The Voice. But many songs performed on both shows do not become hits. Xtina performed "You Lost Me" on Idol, it did not chart. She performed "Fighter" on The Voice, it peaked at #20. Oddly, it was a big hit outside the US. Yeah, I didn't understand that either. "Figher" was a song I kept on near-continuous loop for months. Its still probably my absolute favorite Xtina song. |

The Jonas brother is so not in right now. He doesn't represent anything about Pop right now. That person would be Adam, not a Jonas brother! And Brad Paisley does not mean "No Adam." I have thought all along that there would be a country judge. That doesn't exclude Adam. The thing is, I think Randy is out or they are going to 4 judges. Either way, whether Adam gets it or not, he will be fine. He's got too many things going to let one thing bring him down. I so agree with the highlighted statement - Plus the Jonas brother and his wife are starting a reality show, so I doubt he'd have time for both...plus, who is he ???  - I mean is he famous now ??? That is Kevin, the married one. Nick is the one they are mentioning for the possible judging job. There are three of them! LOL :D |

Mys*&@^#r, what did Adam say in the Sacramento interview, and what were the UK tweets? I was at the lake last week and out of the loop. And I agree with the post above, a new single is exciting. But, it needs to be heard or the excitement will be short-lived and replaced with the same old frustrations. eta---no gloomy predictions, but if a single is to be successful there has to be a plan.
