"It was just hard work - seven-hour days and then I went and did the (Aerosmith) album for eight hours after that."
I think you missed part of his statment. It wasn't just 7 hours. I still have to believe that there was some exaggeration. He was on Idol for two years. Was he really working on that album for two years and always on the same days he worked on Idol? And also, he said he did it for the cash. Did he really need the cash? Isn't he already filthy rich?

I always thought Simon's criticism was often needlessly hurtful and often inaccurate because of his hearing impairment.
Adam would be an honest critic, without intentionally humiliating the contestants.

I thought it might be fun to share a few comments from a friend I have been recruiting ever so slowly to become a Glambert. I endeavor to keep my communications about Adam brief and sane and about 10% or less of our correspondence, so as not to overdo it and drive her away with my cray. I think it is always fun to get an outsider's perspective so I wanted to share the latest. I gifted her the album and she liked Shady the best(she is an old rocker). She'd asked to be kept apprised about Adam's collaboration with Queen, so a couple of weeks ago I shared Somebody to Love from Kiev: this was fantastic. gave me goose bumps. don’t think they could find a better one to do the Queen songs. he is not afraid to emote really loved it.Later, I shared AOBTD and she loved the scat singing with the audience. We had a nice discussion about Freddie also. Last week, before I left for Thackerville, I shared the epic black and white video of WWTF: goodness, he is good looking! and love the killer shoulder pads. will wait to hear all about it.I wrote to her yesterday about the concert and shared a video of Trespassing in the red pants: ha ha ha. you made me laugh. well, even his microphone was phallic, no? Replied with brief bio of Adam and video of Pop That Lock from Thackerville: Loved the video, Loved that song! Loved the comment under the video: "Yesssss.... oh my naughty eyes kept wandering there.... can't help it.... Adam's glambulge is just SCREAMING FOR ATTENTION!!! " She went on to say how much she enjoyed trying to figure out Ashley and Tommy's genders, and the dancing of the divas, whom she likened to those in Eric Clapton's band: large ladies who really move: I have to say I just love a great mix of all types in bands. It shows they are OF the world!I'm tickled with the "review" and the appeal of Adam's band and image to this friend of mine who is truly a music nut. To me it shows that Adam's authentic presentation is exciting and appealing and people "get it" if they can just be exposed to it.

THE SHOW MUST NOT GO ON
www.nst.com.my/life-times/style/the-show-must-not-go-on-1.117199
Did we see this? This "review" of the QueenBert show seems to be in the minority. The only truly negative one I've seen.
Mods - If you don't want it posted please feel free to delete. I personally like to know what everyone is saying - not just the flaily ones. But that's just me.

I actually can see Adam being direct and honest without really being too hurtful because he has probably heard every form of "no" imaginable. But I would hate to see him be mean. >> I have no idea if he will get a chance, but I know Adam would be a great judge. >> And he is an Idol fan. They need a cheerleader for this show after JoLo and Steven trashed it. I think that Brad Paisley might be able to be honest too. But he doesn't seem mean either. I cannot see many on the Idol prospect list being honest -- Pharrell is too thoughtful and introspective (based on his guest judging), Nick Jonas has no substance. Jon Bon Jovi is not mean. Where is Idol's Simon or Howard Stern character? Unpredictable and sometimes brutal judge. The one who will say that was terrible, utter rubbish. Neil will be the one with vodka with his face on it. Like Billy Carter had Billy Beer!! Neil is a whole lot smarter than Billy Carter. I was gonna say Press Sec, but that might lead to WWIII. ;D Neil could probably get a pretty good gig writing a newspaper column. Everyone is smarter than Billy Carter!
