Mentions Adam at 1.01 Lady Gaga Snubbed at VMA 2012 Nominations Published on Jul 31, 2012 by ClevverMusic Odd that Adam was mentioned at all to me, being that the 2 songs went nowhere. I think Adam's videos are fantastic and innovative, but the VMAs are all about sales and charting. At least Britney didn't get a nomination this time for a video that was a knockoff of one of Adam's! If it's about sales and charting, I would have thought Gaga would get nominations. Also, for some of those categories, not sure they are all big sellers. Dark Side is nominated for Video with a Message and it peaked at #54 on the BB Hot 100. Were Art Direction nominees "Born To Die" or "All The Rowboats" big sellers in the US?

KP is on her 9th #1 songs. Sadz isn't it. Kelly Clarkson just sang one of KP #1 songs and the reviews on twitter is than Kelley sang it better, since Kelly has a voice. I know some of you are KP fans, it is MHO. I do have a soft spot for KP because she was a friend to Adam before Idol. Top 3 results night, she wore that cape with Adam Lambert embroidered on the bad back. She sang Waking Up In Vegas live. It was almost as bad as Danny Gokey's Dream On. That was the first time I had heard her sing and I was shocked. I kept thinking, How can you keep smiling when you sound so awful? I find Katy Perry's songs amazingly catchy, but I agree her vocal skills leave a lot to be desired. Just as I find Taylor Swift to be a talented songwriter, but I find it hard to believe she's making a living singing her own songs. Of course, Adam has spoiled me for all singers--nobody else sounds good to me anymore!--but those two are especially lacking in vocal ability.

DD and I went to see the Katy Perry movie this week and I've officially become a somewhat KP stan! lol Katy is a talented, smart, creative young woman. Her journey and her philosophy on being the artist she wants to be reminded me of things Adam has said in the past. She got where she was at by refusing to be someone else or by being someone's puppet. I went to the movie thinking it was going to be something I wouldn't enjoy as much as I did. The movie was a fascinating look into the life of a Popstar in today's current music climate. Many parts were really heartbreaking. :( I am now very impressed with Katy as an artist and as a person. I thought of Adam throughout the movie and would highly recommend seeing it!

They have many mutual friends in Hollywood going way back from when Katy first moved there. I FLOVE her!! ETA: I went to the movie too! ;D

I know some of you are KP fans, it is MHO. Reviews on Twitter...lol Kelly sings a different cover song every night of her tour. It's a different song each night and her back-up singers and band support her nicely. I wish Adam would do something like this on his next tour. I would like to hear different songs each night from him. There are several artist and bands that do this type of thing and many times the covers get media attention or attention from fans of the artists that are being covered. I meant to say there were legit reviews posted on twitter. A little scttered today. I have a houseful of 20 somethings, and then teens. Chaos!!!

Perhaps they met in a club somewhere. Adam performed at the Upright Cabaret. KP may have performed there, too. Or maybe, she saw him in Wicked. Adam lived in Hollywood for about 10 yrs before Idol. He met a lot of people. If anyone has some info, I'd love to hear it.

I sort of wish fans would just leave both Idol possibilities and reviews of Queen to real reporters. JMHO YMMV but Adam had this one right when he emphasized that he was honored to get to perform with "rock royalty" and sing this great music. He was well served by being modest and earned the respect of many Queen fans. This article in typical Kerry Kolsch style rehashes the injustice of Adam's loss on Idol. And then ends with this piece of unsubstantiated info: American Idol did not throw Adam's name into the mix as far as we know. The reports that he is on the list and talked to Idol came from the UK rumored to be from Ryan Love, part of Adam's OE PR team. All Idol did/Nigel was not deny it. >> And Fox Entertainment is running the selection, not "Idol". And what would she have preferred, that Adam not be considered? ***** I have no idea what is going on with Idol but IF the do not pick Adam, then I sure hope fans have the good sense to finally move on from Idol. ***** For people who do not recognize the name Kerry Kolsch -- she is the author of the poorly researched and unsubstantiated book, "American Idol Vote Scam: How an Inherently Unfair Voting System Allowed Corporate Sponsors and State Pride to Steal Adam Lambert's Win and what American Idol can do to save the show." Yes, that is the title. IMO this is one individual who helped create a rift between Adam fans and Kris fans, forced many Kradam fans to choose side, and has not been able to move on. That ship sailed away in 2009. Adam moved on. Almost all fans moved on. Kerry should move on too. ***** The "news article" being posted should not be taken as opening up the topic of "who really won Idol in 2009?" or the unfair AmIdol voting system. Thanks.
Also, Kerry in not just a fan -- she has published a book and writes online articles. I wanted to let members who were not following Adam in 2009 understand who this author is. So this is not about how to be a fan, it is about responsible reporting.

KP is a friend or either Molinari or Ferras, Adam's friends also and so they were introduced. AME, Katy Perry wrote, and Produced her own movie about her life.
