It's Sunday, the day for deep thoughts. Lotsa ~feelings below. Scroll is your friend. I hope I'm not offending anyone. I roam around on a lot of Adam boards, and I am really dismayed at the disappointment for Adam that many fans are expressing, and how so many people are pinning so many hopes on the idol gig as adam's "last shot" at success. (not trying to tell anyone how to feel, just that it makes me sad so many feel this way.) I do not share these feelings. At all. It feels like so many fans are so focused on the destination (i.e. sales success and superstardom) that they are missing out on the wonder of the journey (i.e. Kick ass album!! Performing with queen! Critical acclaim! Fabulous live shows! Happy, in love Adam!!) Of course I would love for Adam to become the next Katy perry or Bruno mars, but I'm perfectly ok if he doesn't. And I'm so damned happy at all the good things that are happening to him. However, i understand being upset with RCA. I am bewildered by the short sightedness of RCA in picking the two most mediocre, middle of the road tracks as singles. That's the simple reason for lack of airplay. BTIKM and NCOE are just not good enough as radio singles. They're not resonating with listeners. I think radio and the general public expect absolute awesomeness from Adam, and they haven't heard it yet. That, I blame on RCA. So many better single choices that literally screamed "I am Adam fucking lambert and I am back!" and they went with mild, inoffensive and ultimately boring. ( not boring as album tracks!!!! I love both songs in the context of the album. But neither is something I want to sing along to while listening to the radio.) So, yeah. RCA blew it there. But does that mean Adam does not have a successful career? Hell no. He is doing, and will continue to do, great! Anyway, he don't need no sympathy, he won't cry and and whine...so why should I? I'd rather watch him shine where and when he is shining.

What a beautiful thread today. Thanks to all of you who made it that way. The only uncool thing was that photo from Adam's private FB account. I hope he can see who shared it and block that person, or whatever it's called on FB. Yah, me too I had no idea where it was from when I posted it I didn't even know adam had a private facebook acount.

major KUDOS to NoAngel! She strikes again with this wonderful essay on Brian & Roger + AFL................. for newbies here, NoAngel wrote a very poignant article on Adam, "The Scarlet Letter" at the beginning of GNT, it can be found on her blog site. Gloria at Adamquotedaily also posted it on her site: adamquotedaily.blogspot.ca/2012/08/queen-and-adam-05082012.htmlToday I need to share this beautiful essay written by NoAngel on Adamtopia. Everyone needs to read this! Yesterday and Today: I Still Love You 8/5/2012 byNoAngel As much as I adored every moment Adam was onstage, for me one of the most emotionally powerful moments in the Queen + AL concerts was Roger and Brian singing "These Are The Days Of Our Lives." Against a video montage of their youthful selves, the pair sang what I heard as a ballad about their shared past. The mood felt nostalgic and warm and poignant and it made me cry each time. In hindsight, the song has taken on even more meaning because I believe that it is also a celebration of the present and a love song to future possibilities. Oh yeah!! Nicely done, catching Brian May's attention and thus bringing a large amount of visitors to sweet little utopian group. Hi Queen fans!! We love you your guys too!! ETA: hoppers, you are so right!! We do not want to be posting Adam's personal stuff here!! The man deserves his privacy, as we all do.
