ETA: Apparently at SONY office in Roppongi (in Tokyo). Thanks! I remember that offer but it had no date! Adding to calendar. So what is Adam doing from 8/11 until his concert on 8/15 in Japan? There must be more promo that we do not know about. I saw someplace that he is having a M&G in Japan on the 11th. |

I will never cease to be amazed at the expressiveness of all of you on this site. I can't begin to put into words exactly how I feel even though I have it all inside. I love that I have a place to go to experience Adam in a way that I cannot ever hope to experience with people who do not feel the way I do. I cannot imagine what my life would be like right now without Adam's influence. Thank you thank you thank you Adamtopians for all you do for beautiful Adam and the ones of us who love him so much!!!!! - My feelings exactly!  |

Okay, Queen experts...what is the name of the album that has love of my life on it? As noted one post later...the original love of my life is on a night at the opera. That one is a bit different as it is full instrumentation including piano, harp, and Brian on the Red Special . Any of the live albums - Live Killers, On Fire At The Bowl, Rock Montreal, or Live At Wembley have the type of version you heard during the QAL shows... I like Live Killers and Montreal versions best No Angel - nice essay. Just to point out that I honestly think most of the Queen died with Freddie thing would go all away if Brian and Roger either chose a new name or just went out as May/Taylor + Adam Lambert. Using the name Queen really is more if the sticking point because it can't be Queen without Freddie and John. That's what Queen signifies to that vocal minority. Myself. I know it's just good business sense and rational thought. I k is I'm not really seeing Queen...but it's as close as I can come glad to see you here, and although I have been gone most of the summer, I really appreciate all your imput on this board. There are lots of bands that still perform with their original band name but with not all the same members. I saw Foghat a couple of years ago, and only one of the members was original. The music was good, the lead singer was a young guy,and didn't sound the same as the original lead singer, but everyone still enjoyed the music. I guess with Queen, Freddie was the main attraction because he was the lead singer, but, Roger and Brian also wrote songs, and they all collaborated on their unique sound. Brian, IMO, is a truly brilliant guitarist, and he can shred a guitar like crazy, I was so impressed with his playing during the QueenBert concerts, and ditto for Roger. I think it is sad and also ridiculous for those who say they should pack up and fade away just because they lost their lead singer. As evidenced by this amazing summer, Queen definitely Will Rock You, and the music they performed was definitely Queen. Guess you can tell I don't worship FM. NoAngel, brilliant as usual, and I hope Brian & Roger get to read this. Q as always, love everything you say. Catz, keep em coming, and thanks for sharing and entertaining us! |

NoAngelYour essay brought me to tears. That song, and Brian's tender, emotionally delicate acoustic set, were highlights for this Adam fan. It put the magic into perspective. It made my heart clutch and expand, all at the same time. Adam brought youth and vigor and a heavenly voice. But Brian and Roger were the beating heart that cradled him protectively... and then allowed him to soar.
There was so much love.I still feel it. And you have expressed it with exquisite perfection. Welcome back, sister. and Aloha - Beautiful words from you both! Thank you. And Catz - Take as much time as you need to remember and write every detail about everything. We're all hanging on your every word - especially those of us who weren't able to attend any of the concerts in person. And, in that vein, THANKS for the live streaming you did - above and beyond the call. |

NoAngel Thanks for some wonderful Sunday morning moments! Glad to open the Sunday Atop door and see you there whenever you can make it! Your words are taking me down the Queenbert rabbit hole yet another day. How I wish I could have been there! I'm so thankful for the videos and stories and recaps that are the next best thing! Thanks CATZ! I am hoping, hoping, hoping that Adam Lambert + Queen play a show together in the U.S! Aloha Q3 I don't know what is next for Adam; whatever it is I am on board! I remember in the radio station chat with Adam I attended way back when, (oh the questions I would ask him now!) he said very definitively even then that he wasn't planning to tour until next year. At the time, I thought, " WHAAAAAT???" It seemed like such a long time to wait! The reason he vaguely gave was that he wanted to take his time and really promote each single. At the time, I privately wondered if he had something up ahead. I still do. I guess we'll see. MWP Yes, chill indeed. Ironically, my wildest teen has settled into this very chill and beautiful man, lol. (~would have been nice to know back then ) Today I am sitting on the porch of my husband's family beach house, watching the family surf and play in the surf, listening to the sounds of the waves and the seagulls and the voices of the people I love interspersed with the voice of Adam Lambert and the voices of so many of you. What a perfect pause in time. Tomorrow my summer officially ends, and I head back to school. I hope Adam is having a similarly tuned down moment and wonder what he will be heading into next week.
