So, Adam's closing at the Sonic stage ;D Does anyone have these set times in English? On twitter they were saying that Adam performs the same time as Green Day. That is sad! Yep! Adam is closing the Summer Sonic dance stage at 20:05 -- Green Day is closing the rock stage. Adam has a great billing and will have a big crowd -- Gotye, Nellie Furtado, THRILLER Live (15 minutes), then Adam. Lindsey Buckingham is SO underrated.
OT, but since you brought him up (and it's a slow news day), I have a cute story about Lindsey Buckingham. Some of you may remember a group called the Kingston Trio who were big in the '50s and '60s. After the group broke up, one of the members, John Stewart, was launching a solo career and trying to learn to play the electric guitar. He started listening to Fleetwood Mac, and paying attention to Lindsey's guitar playing, which John realized was done by playing banjo lines. John already knew how to play the banjo, and he started copying on the electric guitar what he heard Lindsey do on the Fleetwood Mac albums.
Awhile later, he was in the studio with a producer who had worked with Lindsey, and he asked him, "What's it like working with Lindsey Buckingham?" The producer replied, "You gotta meet Lindsey, John! He learned how to play guitar from listening to your Kingston Trio albums!"

Aww, he is at the venues on opposite days of KESHA and RhiRhi! I also see his friends Vintage Trouble are playing there! So, Q3, he appears to be the closing act for his stage, which appears to be the Pop stage. Wondering if you have any guess as to what he might be making for this? I know the Japanese promotors pay a lot, but what do you think. I want him to make lots of $$$$$$ ;D Just a note, Gotye got one of the worst reviews I have ever seen for his live show in San Francisco a few months ago! I hope the crowd doesn't leave or fall asleep during Gotye  |
