Talon - it sounds as QOL gets direction from B&R directly? Is it managed by the Queen organization with proper "official" input?

It is Queen's Official site and the forums are the extension of that. It is run by an Administrator (screen name as well). There is...vague "oversight" from Queen Productions. I don't believe it is monitored by anyone higher than Administrator but sometimes things are decreed...and supposedly one of the things decreed initially was the opening of a Queen + Adam Lambert section to discuss the collaboration. Supposedly the move from the Current Projects to the Dear Friends came from discussions with Administrator signifying there is nothing in the pipeline as of now.
I am 99% sure that B&R aren't personally involved with the running of the forums but Administrator is certainly involved with Queen Productions company. They authorize all the press releases on the site, etc. and the Administrator will pull the trigger when told to kind of thing.
I think it's kind of a hierachy like so:
(John Deacon - off to the side, supposedly with veto power but he is very much off the grid)
Brian - Roger - Jim Beach (Queen Manager & Executor of Freddie's Estate)
Then underneath Jim Beach would be the rest of Queen Productions.
Then underneath some facet of Queen Productions would be the Website/Forums, where Administrator is King.
Of course B&R can influence the website through Beach, but I think the day to day operations go through Jim Beach and his people.
SO That is a mark against it - BUT with so much going on they might want to clear the plate for current projects - Olympics/Freddie's Barcelona re-release, The Great Pretender Documentary coming, RT's solo album, Brian May working with Kerry Ellis again, Live at Budapest DVD/blu-ray
and while Adam is doing his own thing.
It could easily be resurrected say next year when/if they did something....*shrug*
