Re: Hair color change. If Adam did the last major color for the Queen concert series (so that would be right before Kiev) and then for the US concerts in the second half of July just touched up the roots with black (lots of work - I know - because it only last for short time - but can be done). That was 6 weeks ago.

Could that be enough with fast growing hair to cut it back and just color the new growth and avoid the whole stripping process?
Depends on how short his hair is right now, which we don't know yet.

What little we saw, his hair looked healthy under that cap, not over-processed. So, I am just wondering if this was even possible that he did it that way, given the timing.

All the names flying on both X-factor and idol just show me that this is mostly posturing and ratings war. X-factor is going first in the fall and needs to gain momentum at a time where AGT and idol are dominating the headlines.

What is going on behind the scenes is probably completely separate from this media circus right now.
The best and probably only serious indication that Adam is not out of the running is his open calendar and promise to revisit OK soonish. Otherwise, the media is getting more and more giddish throwing everything and the kitchen sink into this race.
I presume we just have to wait and stay hopeful.
