Mariah's album comes out in March 2013 -- lots of time and more singles. But Idol/X-Factor/Voice judge slot no guarantee of radio airplay. LMAO at that Bermudez comment!! So the single artist with the record for most No. 1 songs in history now has to rely on Idol to get radio play? INTERESTING!!!Wow, I guess there are no guarantees. And people questioned if Idol judgeship would be a good thing?? Yes, I get your point, Q3, that judgeship is no guarantee, but the thing is that these kind of jobs puts people at the center of pop culture coverage. It comes from all sides once they're there. They are covered on every entertainment show, blog, talk show, you name it. I know I've made this analogy before, but our pop culture is permeated by people who technically should NOT be all that high profile. Cable TV reality shows have a very small audience, comparatively speaking, but for some reason, every checkout aisle magazine cover, morning show, late night talk, drive-time radio, etc. feels compelled to talk about Kardashians, Jersey Shore, etc. And suddenly, they're HUGE stars. Why? Because they've permeated pop culture. It's fleeting, yes, but it's huge exposure. And if you have a body of work, talent and product to back it up, the exposure is INSANE!! I agree. Is Mariah's new single officially released yet? Has she performed it anywhere? If she hasn't how can the radio expect it to be among the top 10 on itunes? Assuming that she is already on AI, AI audience will certainly be informed of her new single, and she will be performing it on AI and many of them will buy it. There is no guarantee that they will get her to the top 10 on itunes, but I am sure there will be a lot more buyers than the case she is not on AI. If the single clicks, and she can get to the top 10, radio will start to spin it. Now, with no AI, I am not sure how many people know she's releasing a new single. My point is there is no guarantee, but there is higher chance for sho. |

They do a lot in September then there is not a lot to do until December. Yes, they will have about 4 weeks of craziness, in Sept, traveling to the audition cities. Then, last year, Hollywood week was in December. That is 4 days straight. Back to work for a week in January, then a week in Feb. Live shows start around the first of March. There is plenty of off time for Adam to do one offs, IMO, Nov., Jan. Feb. Actually, even when the show is filming one offs would work. A full blown tour might be more difficult, but maybe not. Maybe he can do a Trespassing tour as long as they schedule it on Friday and Saturday only from March to Jun |

I love that Idol video. I had almost forgotten how brilliant, beautiful, gracious, exciting, and refreshing our Adam was during Season 8. I felt that thrill all over again watching him just like I did the first time I saw the shows of Season 8. Season 8 is still the best season of all of them. Hopefully, if Adam is a judge, he can bring back that magic and excitement again. He better be a judge because I don't think I can watch Idol if he isn't. There isn't anyone but Adam that I would tune in to watch. I have had a feeling the show was on its way out especially after last year. I hope you gals are right.

My dream for Idol performances is that Adam gets to perform with Pharrell or Niles. Adam 's own music. He can perform with Queen on Idol after he 1) Does his own single 2) Premieres a new video ;D Then the finale would be a good time to have Queen and Adam perform! . And announcing that they will do a world tour ;D I can go with 5 - 7 big Queen+AL concerts. BUT I want a Trespassing Tour -- and Adam said TT when the time is right. That would be summer 2013.  and TT must come to Blossom. 29,200 capacity and close to me!! |

Another possibility..Didn't Nile Rogers mention about having some great idea to do something together??? A long shot but if it is not idol, this may be another possibility.
