Soaked, I am looking at this movie idea as a way to help his music sales. To me, what he needs is more exposure and movies are one way to reach more people. It doesn't mean that he is going to stop his music career, but to me it could bring in a lot of new fans which he needs for sales. This is a movie about a singer and he will be singing it. Look at what Dream Girls did for JHud. But Dreamgirls also stared Beyonce and was a BIG mainstream movie. This would be about a person virtually unknow in the US and chances are it wouldn't even be shown here, or on a very limited basis, so doubt it would do much at all for his sales. I'm relieved that's it's apparently not true. Just wanted to weigh in that I just thought this type of project would be interesting in theory. An independent movie--not cheaply made (if those still exist)--based on a memoir of a colorful person in the club scene in England in early 80s. This particular project is certainly extremely questionable as to whether it is in any kind of development. I do find the guy interesting, though! He's obviously is working to survive and try to carve out/sustain a career and I champion anyone doing that. I'm not so quick to judge or dismiss people as a fame whore or a has-been as I once was. I think this fandom has made me much more sensitive to people trying to make it however they can and however they define "success." Global recession and a little wisdom with age has as well, no doubt. (I know I've had to moved the goalposts in a little closer for myself these days.  ) Plus I would love AL doing a Welsh accent. We know he's got a pretty good ear for that!  |

Wait till he can make Trespassing go platinum and finish his Trespassing world tour, then he can take a break and do acting if he wishes (but I prefer him to start with the 3rd album, I want new music from him) |

Yay! Trespasing is going to kick ass! I think he needs dancers on stage so he can get that clapping pattern going when he performs on TV here! And to show what a kick ass dance song it is!! OMG! Something like that dance group did on You Tube. I think it was from Singapore.

IMO, he needs to be in the position of Katy Perry, Gaga or Rhianna to take a break and make movie. These divas, whenever they release an album or single, radio plays them. Adam needs to be in that position before he can take a long break. |
