I wonder why Idol was so fast to tell the world about Mariah Carey...Now people want to know the other judges. why didn't they announce all the judges together?Was this to promote an ever guessing game and PR?
I wonder how far they can take this without fans getting annoyed and losing interest.

Take an hour out of your day and listen to Angelina talk about her experience at the London shows. As opposed to earlier programs, this time Angelina was able to talk in depth without interruption from Juneau and Xena. (Starting at about 2:45 with the London #3 version of WWTLF) She tells a wonderful story about shutting up and converting some big, somewhat drunk, tatooed biker type Queen fans who were loudly dissing Adam in line before the show. Then at about 25 minutes in, she starts talking about the shows themselves, and goes thru her impressions of each of the numbers. What an incredible "recap" we get from her. Even if you are not a fan of J & X, I strongly recommend this program. For those of you who are not familiar with Angelina, she is a well respected professional opera singer and vocal coach who is also a die-hard Adam fan. With her background as a singer, she brings a special perspective in her commentary about Adam. I wonder why Idol was so fast to tell the world about Mariah Carey... why didn't they announce all the judges together. Because Steven anf JLo both quit the same week and Idol needed to have a judges "face." Also, I am sure Mariah negotitated time for her to have the sole spotlight. |

my take on it is he was approached and there's a discussion, but he/DMG hasn't heard anything from them of the result.. or Fox hasn't make any decision yet. I think this interview was couple of weeks old, so pretty sure they already have the panels now. I do not believe that interview from AU was done a couple weeks ago. Is there a source for that? Also there is nothing to indicate that FOX has selected the Idol judges yet. Seems like a lot of people who were considered are not talking. And Alanis Morrisette said she was in early discussions about being an Idol judge last week. I said I think the interview was a couple of weeks ago, I based this opinion of the Travolta questions. I haven't seen any news online about Travolta lately (I just googled it) and most of them (male masseuse) actually from May. The recent news about him was from another actress that asked him to just come out of the closet. |

So you guys haven't seen the article from some Hollywood blog that says in essence that the only thing keeping NJ from being announced is approval from Mariah? I can't link it right now as it was on twitter & I'm on my iPad. According to this MC is calling the shots for judges & NJ is the one. He is the only brother right now without a reality show.
BIG FAT UGH if this is true!

I wonder if Idol blew the judge budget on Mariah .. LOL Mariah is very talented, but I can't help thinking that this was a poor investment. There are so many factors that make a good judge, she just not ticking off those boxes for me. For AI's sake, I hope that I am wrong. ETA: Jazz.. I don't believe it for a second. She may have a big ego, but I can't believe that the producers would allow her to dictate anything something as big as this for the show. The just the general response NJ has received about EVEN the possibility of him being a judge - should be seen as embarrassing. He isn't a bad guy, just a REALLY poor fit. |
