Has anyone seen pictures of the crowd with the sunflowers at that concert a few days ago? There was a picture of Japanese Freddie holding them out front before the concert, but I haven't seen a crowd shot where they all hold them up. I'm curious how effective that was ... Just an honest question (REALLY not trying to tick anyone off), but could the abbreviated promo tour in Australia, and lack of anything in NZ, have anything at all to do with the fact that the singles and album have not done well there? At some point does the label decide that devoting a whole bunch of time to some of these markets with this particular project just isn't worth the expense? I'm with everybody else in hoping that he has a much better reason for the quick trip . But, this is just a question I had. Four days in Australia is long enough for promotion there, so I don't believe that they're cutting it short because of sales. I also don't believe they're cutting it short because of idol; his odds of getting it are probably low. However, unlike the unrealistic closing ceremony hopes and rumors and body language readings, he at least has a shot at getting idol. The empty fall schedule IS weird. Adam is a workaholic. An empty schedule for the two months during which he is releasing a single is uncharacteristic. |

As I posted when this question was asked previously, Sony NZ has confirmed that they tried to get Adam to come to NZ and the schedule did not work. No disrespect to NZ, but it is a small market and remote. Japan is a big market. They have to manage where Adam invests his time. -- NZ has enough sales. Trespassing debuted at #4 in New Zealand charts.org.nz/weekchart.asp?cat=a&year=2012&date=20120528(For reference: FYE peaked at #5.) Both singles made the NZ Top 40. (NCOE #24, BTIKM #40) All with almost no promotional support from Adam. -- We have seen the bump that Trespassing has gotten in Japan because Adam is promoting the album. Artist promotion works. -- I think the reason to get Adam back to the US is simple -- they have a new single to promote and they are determined to get it on the radio and I hope TV. RCA cannot do the promotion needed without Adam. IF he gets something from Idol, all the better because he will get a ton of press. IF he does not get an offer from Idol, he will still get press because he will be able to talk about it. |

Perhaps the reason for the short trip is personal. I read somewhere that Sauli's good friend Niko is getting married Aug 25 (presumably in finland). Maybe Adam and Sauli will be heading there. More speculation.
