A lot of fans seemed to dislike the Adam-Alison AFTERMATH duet. I know many here don't like her voice. I adored that performance! I could just see the love between them and Adam was so sweet with her. One of my favorites. I was at the Music Box that night, and I just loved it. You could see and feel the deep love and friendship between Adam and Alisan in that performance. Also, Alisan's group was the opening act that night.

On the other hand, I ADORE this duet!! I think it is beautiful! I don't know anyone that didn't love this live duet!

A lot of fans seemed to dislike the Adam-Alison AFTERMATH duet. I know many here don't like her voice. What?! Her voice is amazeballs!
To be clear, this is not my opinion. I've just seen those comments both here & on twitter. The Scarlett/Alison performance on youtube received the same critiques. Sorry - no link to that one.
And certainly not everyone felt that way! But enough to make an impression on me.

OK, my Idol hope has already slept. Now I am thinking about radio play because the new single is coming soon. I don't have a lot a experience with radio, and I am not good with words, so I use notations. S = aX + bY + cZ +dT where: - S = number of radio spin (weekly I guess)
- X = Sales and streaming ranking
- Y = Hit making/popularity index (based on previous songs) Artists like Katy Perry for example, may have very high index here. Even though the sales of a new single may not show up yet, radio stations are still willing to spin her new song.
- Z = Rating by the Program Director (How good the song is, how likeable the artist is, and other "political" ratings). This explains why Bieber's Boyfriend didn't do well on the radio even though it had good sales. I think the PD thought the song sucked. So their score for Z is significantly low which dragged the S score down.
- T = Requests by listeners
- a, b, c, d = weight of Z, Y, Z, T respectively where d is very low, I guess 5% only.
From here we will see - If we have taken everything WE KNOW into account yet? - Where the next single may stand? - What can we do to support? Does that make sense to you? I want to elaborate more, but I need to go now

shirleyhalperin @shirleyhalperinEXCLUSIVE: 'American Idol' Judges Drama: Coke and Pepsi at War Over Nicki Minaj t.co/i2OihLJ5Sources tell THR a four-member panel is coming together that will also include a Latin heartthrob and a country star."According to a source with close ties to the show, longtime rivals Coke and Pepsi are at war again, but not about market share, rather over hitmaker Nicki Minaj. The rapper and singer, whose colorful, cartoon-like style has made her among the most successful new acts of the last three years, is at the top of the list for the open seat on season 12 of Idol, but as the new face of Pepsi, an endorsement deal which includes commercials along with touring and album promo, Idol sponsor Coke is none too thrilled at the prospect.".......".....If Fox and FremantleMedia execs have their way, this year's panel would consist of Minaj, previously announced judge Mariah Carey, a country star (the leading candidate is Keith Urban, says an insider) and a Latin artist (Enrique Iglesias is believed to be the No. 1 choice)..." Latin Heartthrob?? Ricky Martin?? Bruno Marsh? .. WHOOO!!!.. okay.. Looks like Adam will not get the job... BYE BYE IDOL!!! I haven't watch the show since S8 and it doesn't look like I will watch it next year ETA: Just saw Enrique Iglesias posted above.. oh well.. Glad I don't have to suffer to listen to Nicki Minaj's talking voice..

Uhm it's one of the best songs on the album I like it until towards the end when Alisan is screaming in the background. Sorry! I know I am not the only one who feels this way. I can't even listen to it. But I love the acoustic versions and I love the Music Box duet. I also love Alisan and I usually like her own songs too. ETA: Love all the songs with Scarlett too!

Ok - this post just knocked any thoughts of Alison out of my head! WUT???Coming from Shirley I give it cred. And now my hopes are dashed. And there we go - THREE that I (at least) have never heard mentioned.
