I don't mean to be a wet blanket, and I really think Brad is funny and darling, but I would be sad if instead of Idol on network TV with an audience of 20M, we get a role in a very obscure web show. I don't know Brad or his obscure web show, but surely this is not the "stuff" he was excited and talking about for Sept. :-/ It sounded more like big stuff. 8-) wish it would be Idol stuff. ;D I am only wishing for big stuff. |

I'd love to see Adam in a guest role in Husbands, but no one is pretending that it's in the works or that it would represent Adam's big plans for September. Brad and Jane were just chatting about guest stars that would be fun to have in the show. They also mentioned Meryl Streep, Lady Gaga, and Madonna. They were just playfully throwing out names.

Not household names to me. Nika Minja ummmm, ok I stan Adam so I've heard of her but otherwise umm no. Enrique isn't he an old fart? Keith Urban that's Tom Cruise's ex-wife's new hubby and he sings country. And since season 8 yes he sings about a girl. Shirley and the other news folk are unhappy with the news too. If the show is about the judges, at least make them interesting judges. But I see silver lining in how she worded it "If they had their way." NObody ever has their way so no way is that the line up. I won't call a 37yo man an old fart.. LOL.. and he looks like he's in his 20s, maybe you're thinking Julio Iglesias, Enrique's father.  Ok so the older one is a household name. That puts Henry in the same category as Nickki, total unknowns to me and I've watched Idol since season 2. Oh but then of course Mariah is just a name, don't know the music.. yep, classic glambert stan, all Adam or nothin'. Now part of Shirley's article says. -----If Fox and FremantleMedia execs have their way, this year's panel would consist of--- Note the careful choice of "would" vs "will". I don't think she has much of a leak yet. If Idol doesn't take Adam it's their loss if they get 4 Randys. |

OK, my Idol hope has already slept. Now I am thinking about radio play because the new single is coming soon. I don't have a lot a experience with radio, and I am not good with words, so I use notations. S = aX + bY + cZ +dT where: - S = number of radio spin (weekly I guess)
- X = Sales and streaming ranking
- Y = Hit making/popularity index (based on previous songs) Artists like Katy Perry for example, may have very high index here. Even though the sales of a new single may not show up yet, radio stations are still willing to spin her new song.
- Z = Rating by the Program Director (How good the song is, how likeable the artist is, and other "political" ratings). This explains why Bieber's Boyfriend didn't do well on the radio even though it had good sales. I think the PD thought the song sucked. So their score for Z is significantly low which dragged the S score down.
- T = Requests by listeners
- a, b, c, d = weight of Z, Y, Z, T respectively where d is very low, I guess 5% only.
From here we will see - If we have taken everything WE KNOW into account yet? - Where the next single may stand? - What can we do to support? Does that make sense to you? I want to elaborate more, but I need to go now Are the rest of you skeered too? Is that the reason nobody has commented on it? Hoppers isn't here to interpret.  I'll take it seriously. Need to add Ranking surveys, both the national and the ones commissioned by the larger stations (lots of PDs said the singles didn't connect in these). Break the listener requests down by day time and night time (Seems some stations weighted the night viewer pretty high as an indicator if they should play day - or they need immediate - What was that song? feedback) And don't forget method of feedback. Need much higher on forms that are "real" people, ie phone calls, facebook, individual station fans. But really, all the Letters do need to be arranged so they spell something. It is a mathematical necessity. 8-) |

Has Adam ever shown excitement about anything that he is uncertain of.
I just know that when he is sure of something he cannot hide his excitement and he may even indirectly reveal it. The EMAs is an example, he asked us to watch the EMAs, and even DMed a fan club member that he would be at the EMAs and "there's more"
Assuming that he has been in talk with idol, but he is unsure if he is going to get it or not, would you be excited about it? would he look forwards to it and refer to it as some secret stuff he is going to work on ?
I just want to believe that the "stuff" he twitted about is not the Idol thingy, it is something else and it still happens, if so I am happy.
I don't want Adam to do anything that doesn't support his music now. Guest role in Husbands, nope, don't waste your time in it
