I see all the assumptions that NM has AI. Did people read this and what do you think? Does "spazz" mean a good thing or a bad thing? I also feel like there are lots of assumptions being made today on Atop about AI, including how bad Adam will feel since he was almost signed and remarks about his management. We don't even know if he was contacted for sure. The first rumor we heard was that an AI source said his name was being talked about. We don't really know anything except that Mariah is a judge. Yes, it's fun to speculate, but some people are making statements about rumors as if they have become facts. Breathe deeply.  Totes agree, Holst! I've been enjoying a few jokes about Idol today but most days I leave here perplexed and frustrated because other than Mariah, no one has been confirmed. You said it beautifully!! Thanks! |

The thing that Adam has that the other future judges don't have,beside the best voice in the business, is having the experience of being on IDOL and what that might mean to the contestants.
Trying to catch up but I just had to stop and quote this because it's exactly what I was going to say. No one else can bring that to the table!
The amazing videos from SS have absolutely made my day. Even to the point of not giving a frek about idol (for the moment anyway lol).
OT - A HUGE thanks to amw - I received my Queen + Adam cd today and it is MAHVELOUS! Great quality! |

 seoulmate!!! So good to see you and is it even possible he looks even more gorgeous than ever before?? Definitely watch that interview vid early in the thread! OMG his hair ... it's, it's ... :2tears: :2tears: I still haven't given up on Idol as a possibility. Sooo many unanswered questions still. Actually, I think the idea of Nicki Minaj bodes well for him. They would need a Diva Wrangler First Class and he is one of the few people who could banter with Nicki while schmoozing Mariah and make the whole process fun. And he wouldn't be overshadowed by the BOOBS From Hell. And I don't get people saying Adam is too OTT for middle America. Actually Adam, as an extremely articulate, informed, well-mannered person who would be nothing but respectful to the contestants, the process and the other cast members, would come across as the most chill, I think. He might wear a crazy outfit or two but NOTHING like Nicki – not even in the same stratosphere. (BTW, Neon Trees was on GMA yesterday and the outfit the lead singer Tyler had on was crazier than anything Adam has ever worn in public.  ) Enrique's tour schedule is very full but he could be young/Latino. My hunch is that they won't do both country and Enrique, just a feeling. I still think Adam brings a ton to the table in that he'd be pop/rock dude, hip, fun, articulate, former contestant, vocally trained, less expensive (they will have spend A LOT to get MC and NM) and they gay element can't be ignored either. It's something Idol has been under fire for. And Adam's success only goes to substantiate Idol. If AI can give him the little shove of exposure he needs right now, it can be pivotal for him and mutually beneficial to them. Having two Stars in 12 years does not bode well for the brand. By the way, Nicki's Pepsi contract (which I do think is a major liability for her – more from Pepsi than from Coke) is reportedly for $24 million. The exposure is great, but Idol will have to pay large for her IF they can get around any non-compete clause she might have in her Pepsi contract.

So with Nicki Minaj in, does that pretty much at least guarantee a 4 person panel? For all the talk of how "secretive" everyone has to be, Nicki basically just gave it away. This stupid rumor just sucked me in and still isn't letting go even when Adam seems to become a bigger and bigger longshot with each passing day. Can they please just announce the panel so I can get over it and move on??? ETA--I think NM and Adam on the same panel might be way too much OTT for middle America I am with you on this "stupid rumor". I can't 100% seem to give it up, and as we so often say here, it is driving me cuckoo. Adam should have taken mercy on his fans and squished it decisively long ago. |

Shoshanna is heading to LA in September, right? Could this be for anyone other than Adam? I know she works with Britney, and X-Factor debuts that month, but I don't think she is Britney's US person. This has to be something substantial, doesn't it?
Totally agree, mys*&@^#r, don't like the beginning of this Naked Love. Sounds way more current and fun the "old way."
