If Adam were a judge, he'd be the only one who cares about the contestants, remember them? Maybe a behind the scenes ( but filmed) coach to help with their look, song choice, and building on their strengths would be a more suitable and dignified role for Adam. How the producers think MC and NM will interact is beyond me.

Mariah is there because of Randy, and because she is an old-school diva. I think Nicki being in hurts Adam's chances (hope I'm wrong) because she will provide the "edgy."
Moving on, since I no longer think Adam has a judge spot, what do people know about the Today Show? I think they have a Fall concert series because I heard that Carrie will be playing, but I can't find a schedule anywhere. Does anyone know if there are still openings?

Can't seee Nick Jonas on th panel at all. I think Nicki being there has made Adam's chances better, not worse. IMO Nicki took the "crazy, flamboyant, OTT spot"- or the Steven Tyler/ Cee-lo role. I've always thought that would be the role that Adam would fill on the judging panel. My guess is they are now looking for some young guy, a country dude or possibly both to round out the panel. There are enough Diva types on the panel, they now need a guy in plaid and/or an innocent type to balance things out. |

SOAKED and danceygeorgia gosh i don't even know what the general public is any more. I have no idea what would resonate with "them". if idol still takes NM considering her outburst on twitter i will be even more confused, though don't know why i would be when america's show DWTS loves Chris Brown. But to echo what I have read earlier here, I think SHADY would be the break out single for Adam. That song that is so different from what you hear everyday and somewhat shocking- his "I Kissed a Girl", "Poker Face" "Somebody I Used to Know", etc. Couple it with a provokative video with some subliminal messaging (just go for it adam), I'd be a happy cult member. A provocative song and video is fine for a straight girl to break through, not for a gay guy, unfortunately, IMO. |

i remember the tantrum i threw when daughtry was voted off idol and swore i would never watch that show again....took a break but tuned back in so i could be part of the office conversation every week. Had another fit when adam lost and cursed the show again. sucked back in the following season, but as we know adam ruined it so watching since then has been sporadic.
all i can now is WTF?
sorta hoping i don't have to watch it anymore.
