I had my own tiny Adam Lambert experience today. Went to Home Depot to get copies of my car keys made. I had a key chain with Adam's pics on it, thanks to one of Mayumi's party favors. While the young guy was making the key he asked me if I was an Adam fan. I replied, "Yup, and you recognize that's Adam!" I said I was a vocalist and appreciated everything Adam could do with his voice. He agreed that Adam was a great singer. He said he no longer watches Idol since Adam's season. I told him that many folks were saying that Adam broke Idol, to which he agreed. Trying to keep it low key, I told him that Adam was/is being considered for a judge slot and that many were saying "He broke it, he should be the one to fix it." The guy laughed at that. The keys made, I walked away, only to have him shout out to me, "He would be a great judge." I regret not telling the guy about the new album, but, I didn't want to seem like a cray fan. Plus, someone else was waiting to get a key made. Still, it was nice to hear someone recognize and appreciate Adam. (Now, if only the keys he made for me actually worked, it would have been a total win experience.) Nice story, Cassie! They also play WWFM & BTIKM daily. I usually hear WWFM at about 6am everyday. Might be silly, but I always say, *well, good morning, Adam*! I work in the back office in our HD here, so no one hears me and thinks I'm nuts...lol! Still waiting to hear NCOE there. They just started playing BTIKM about a month ago, so might be a while yet. Sorry about your keys. Take them back. I'm sure they will redo them or return your money. They're quite good about that. Oh, and the HD is also supportive of LGBT. Was one of the reasons I was interested in the job.

So with the new news that Keith and Nicki are close to signing, why do you think nothing at all is leaking about Adam? If he is in, that is. He isn't on the radar of any of this press. Do you think it is possible that Randy is staying as a judge? Or that they are keeping a three person panel. I'm just surprised that nobody in the media is even speculating about Adam anymore.
I am leaning toward him being on the panel, but the truth is everything can be looked at in terms of spin. Every hint can be spun to fit both scenarios.
I wonder if they are announcing the judges next week? Lyndsey Parker has an interview with KA done a week or so ago which is being held until Sept. 4th; there is a lot of speculation that she will break the news of his drop from RCA. I can see Idol wanting to push the interview out until after the all the initial Idol press---wouldn't be good for the show to have info of another winner dropped out that same week.

Call me Maybe is a great hit here in Germany also. But as soon as I hear it I have to change the radio station - I really think the lyrics are silly with no meaning and the music makes me cringe. I hope this is in no way the direction Adam wants to go with his music... ??? There are so many songs on the big radio stations here that are cool (Gotye, Gossip etc.) AND succesfull. I know, to each his own, but music that is so lightweight that you forget the song as soon as you heard it is just awful (for me). Naked love is a little bit like that - that's the reason why I skip it every single time I listen to TP. Call Me Maybe also makes me cringe and for the life of me, I don't understand why it is so popular. Had the same feeling about Hey, Soul Sister and to a lesser degree Payphone, that John Mayer song, and A Thousand Years. I know some people think Runnin' would not make a good single, but I put it in the same category as as Goyte's Somebody That I Used to Love and Fun's We are Young. Not that I am particularly fans of those two songs, but they were so different (kinda hard to peg what genre) that they made people take notice. I think I've only heard of one person who didn't like Runnin'. I totally get that it does not fit into regular pop, but why can such a song not be released to rock stations? I know they are dwindeling in this country, but perhaps that is also because they are not fed with interesting new rock songs (like Runnin). If they try to live off of a Nickelback diet flavored with some classic rock, perhaps that is why they are a dying breed. Said the same thing about CLYG, which in my mind has the same history, it's a bonus track, not released everywhere, never made it into the ears of anyone who did not buy the deluxe album and the right one at that. I don't understand release strategies. I don't understand release strategies. I don't understand release strategies. Even without major promotion, rock stations could have used the Queen story as a segway to play the song, and it would sound great played right next to classic rock music. But, what do I know about such things....clearly nothing.

Yes!! Plus, Nicki had to tweet something! She had just cancelled 6 weeks of touring! Cancelled on 8/1 tweeted about "it will be worth it" on 8/3! The difference with Adam is that nothing was cancelled (that we know of ) Instead, he has 6 weeks that have beeen open. That's one reason why I think he has known since end of July, FS week! I agree! No artist would hold their calender hostage for six weeks for a "consideration"! After seeing the dates lining up in October and November, it makes the six dead weeks even more suspicious. Nikki has been signed. If AI is getting cold feet, they will have to pay NM some big bucks for cancelling all her concerts and negotiating her Pepsi endorsement deal in the US. I believe the Keith Urban rumor, there are too many exact details about money coming from THR, and Shirley doesn't just make up facts. The question is whether they are bringing Randy back or not. I believe TPTB are ready for Randy to move to another role on the show and the fourth judge's slot has been open for a long time. It makes sense that it would be Adam, they need someone with ties to the history of the show. IF Adam is not in, then he has something big going on in September/October that he has been keeping a secret. The man hasn't had more than a few days off since before Christmas. I find it illogical to believe that he all of a sudden has a six week time period with nothing scheduled!

Daughtry, in his heyday, couldn't get played.

The first rumors were that Nicki, Mariah, Miley and Adam were being considered for the judging panel. (I forget- was it from ENews or THR?) We now know about three of these people. The summer before season 10, the first people mentioned ended up being the judges. Just something to think about....

The Keith Urban article makes it even more lilkely that Adam signed and that he signed long ago. I still say, end of July. No way in Hell would Kanye or Brad or Enrique sign for only 3 million. And it looks like Idol is watching their budget, if they were able to get Minaj for only 8! So, it looks like Adam will be the other "3 million dollar man!"

Because it seems like, if you move out of the Adam fandom bubble, nobody is considering him anymore. (Really sick of hearing about Nicki)
