Adam has in the bag....he is their big secret!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Could be. If Randy is not returning as a judge, then there is a bigger chance that Adam is the fourth judge. IMO, Idol will need someone on the judging panel that the audience is familiar with. I don't see them having a completely new, unknown judging panel. Nicki, Mariah, and Urban seem to be a chemistry disaster in the making. Someone who is familiar with Idol needs to be there to be provide some grounding to the panel. |

Well -- if it is a 4 person panel -- and if it is Mariah, Nickie, Keith, then the 4th person will be a man. And that eliminates the hip hop/rap artists. Who is left in the mix -- Enrique, Adam, Nick Jonas? Have I missed anyone? JMHO, I do not think Nick Jonas will be on the panel. But I think odds are in Enrique's favor. BUT Adam would be the best judges of the three and would work well with that panel. I am, of course, biased. >> That is assuming they go to 4 judges which really did not work last time. If all four comment on a performance it takes too long. And just having 2 or 3 judges comment felt incomplete. I don't remember timelines. Was Nigel on board when they had a four person panel? |

Just read on twitter, TMZ on TV, says big news on Monday about idol. They said someone who used to be is coming back. flashed pic of Simon and Paula. Doubt Paula, no 3 woman panel. Simon has x-factor, so it is someone during their reign..................ADAM!!!! If they're going to announce it on Monday, I agree with you that Fox has to keep Adam as their big secret. Imagine the buzz the news' going to create with Adam as one of them. Ohh. and we in Florida are also waiting for our "big" news. Hurrican Isaac or Tropical Storm Isaac. :-/ |

It is true that Enrique is more famous, but this panel is already loaded with famous people. Adam brings other things first of which he is an alum, and that would be an interesting new gimmick to spark interest. He has a fantastic reputation as a vocalist which Enrique does not. They have to know how smart, charming, quick on his feet, knowledgeable etc. he is. They already had experience with huge names being incompetent judges, and once bitten twice shy. Last but maybe not least, he would be cheaper than Enrique. |

Oh, let it be Monday and get this over with already..*throwing kisses*..
Adam will be the perfect balance for this judging panel IF IF IF IF IF truly Mariah, Nicki and Keith are signed. I don't doubt at all Idol will go for four judges ala The Voice.
I have mad respect for Keith Urban. He's been in the biz a long time even though he looks like a young kid. We have Keith Urban CD's in our home. I listened to a one hour interview with him awhile back and he is so in synch with Adam in many ways. He is funny, intelligent, talented, open-minded and I can see he and Adam getting along very well. Both men will melt Mariah into a pool of..Mariah, I guess. Nicki? A 3 person panel would work for me too..lol :twist: :twist:
The best news to me is IF this comes to pass, the contestants actually have a shot this year at getting some concrete constructive advice from Adam and Keith anyway. JMO. And I do think Adam is already signed.

Season 9 - the second 4 judge season - Simon, Ellen, Randy and Kara. Season 10 - Nigel returns and Idol restores the 3 judges panel -- JoLo, Steven and Randy. Season 11 - same as Season 10. The ratings drop 23%.
