Thanks for clarifying the Nigel question. I always thought he did a good job keeping the show on track and couldn't imagine he was in charge of cluster @$!? of time management that season 8 was.

If they're going to announce it on Monday, I agree with you that Fox has to keep Adam as their big secret. Imagine the buzz the news' going to create with Adam as one of them. Ohh. and we in Florida are also waiting for our "big" news. Hurrican Isaac or Tropical Storm Isaac. :-/ Hoping it is TS Isaac. With an accompanying Adam storm. **** On the Nigel question --- Season 8 (The year of Adam) - was the first season with 4 judges and the first season without Nigel. Simon, Paula, Randy and Kara. Season 9 - the second 4 judge season - Simon, Ellen, Randy and Kara. Season 10 - Nigel returns and Idol restores the 3 judges panel -- JoLo, Steven and Randy. Season 11 - same as Season 10. The ratings drop 23%. The ratings drop since Season 6 (peak) to 11 is mindboggling: Season 6 January 16, 2007 (premiere) 37.44 million Season 8 January 13, 2009 (premiere) 30.45 million Season 11 January 18, 2012 (premiere) 21.93 million Thank You Q3 - I'm hoping it's a TS Isaac too and hoping that Adam is the big secret, so I can flail with the Adam storm with you all guys. |

Shirley Halpern is very well connected to Idol and very reliable in the past. I think that gives the edge to Enrique. IMO Adam remains a long shot as a judge.
But I do think something is going on with Adam -- but it may not be Idol.

They said "someone is coming back" He was the only one missing from the picture and no one knew if he was coming back. You know how Idol operates so it's probably Randy. Will Adam be back home by Monday for the possible Idol announcement? That Oz schedule got be confused because it listed something as late as 8/31.
