Enrique has no cred - he can't sing. Sorry don't believe it's Enrique. He has a tour most of Sept and oct. There are a handful of dates -- most could easily be cancelled. You do not need to be able to sing to be an Idol judge -- Simon, Paula, Randy, Ellen, Kara could not sing very well (or at all). I do not know if Enrique has cred, but he is very popular. The highest selling Latin artist in the past 20 years. He has a $50 million contract with Universal, is popular with US Hispanics and across Latin America. He has 2 Billboard Hot 100 #1 hits, a total of 68 BBoard #1 hits, sold 55 million records worldwide. Billboard named him the number two Latin artist of the years 1986–2011. There are over 50 million Hispanics in the US with a total of over $1 trillion in buying power. If they were a country, US Hispanics would be the 12th largest economy in the world. Idol needs ratings, and they need to sell ads. Seem like Enrique would be an attractive addition to the show when it comes to the advertisers. I don't think it's easy for him to cancel his concert because he is touring with JLo.
