This whole Idol stuff reminds me of when they used to put Adam on last almost every time during season 8. I would be nearly in cardiac arrest by the time Adam would sing. Sometimes it was so late that he barely got to finish his song. He seemed to be the closing act... sound familiar. Well not exactly almost every time --- I believe he was last in his semi-final group and 4 times in the main competition -- but 3 shows in a row near the end so it seemed like he was always last. Can we promise if Adam gets the Idol gig not to worry about the ratings on a weekly basis? That is my biggest concern about this whole thing  My biggest worry is if there will be ustreams or Youtubes of the thing fast enough. So that I don't miss him :D |

So in other words if your opinion differs from the majority it's raining on people's parade? Let me get this right. Grasping at straws to say Adam is on Idol is A Okay. But grasping at straws to say he isn't is raining on people's parade. Ok, got it.  There was nothing about grasping at straws for the clues as it progressed. One just had to be open enough to receive them. But doing a happy dance because you think he didn't get it is a big WTF for me. It goes beyond having another opinion. I don't get that at all. This is a fanboard. I have zero interest in Idol and haven't commented up until now. But Adam wants it and if he gets it, I will be doing that HAPPY DANCE for damn sure.
I can see absolutely no downside. He will get paid something in the six seven figures. He will be on TV twice a week for months. He will do LOTS of promo beforehand to plug the show. Even if the ratings went down by 50% he will still be seen by millions of people on a regular basis. Oh and he's already associated with Idol so I really don't see how that can hurt him.
My biggest problem is now I will have to watch the show and I really don't want to. I may just DVR and FF to the Adam parts.
