So, finally we were all in one place at the airport. Lol... everybody had phones and iPads out catching up on twitter and FB and  ing all over da place..
We got ourselves organised and headed off to our hotel which was less than 3 minutes walk away from the concert venue. We all were staying in the same place, except for 3 others who had arrived earlier in the week and were supposedly staying with an Aussie fan. Sadly, there was some problems with that and these 3 needed to find a hotel instead. So, yay!, they ended up with us as well. We ALL arrived at once an proceeded to take over The Wattle Hotel with lots of noisy squarking, chattering and laughter. The guy on reception was in shock I think :4OMG: We got ourselves settled in, had a bite to eat and then ended upstairs on the hotel's rooftop *cough* plastic grass garden and had pre-concert drinkie poohs :Clap:
The whole group was buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzing so hard. So we started to all peel off, get dressed and make our way to the line. There would have been maybe 30 - 50 peeps there when we arrived, some dressed in Trespassing colours and outfits. More folk started to arrive, the line got longer, there was anticipation and excitement in the air.
And then, Adam came out onto the balcony above the line. All bloody hell broke loose. The front of the line pretty much disintegrated as we all ran further out on to the courtyard to look up at him and scream loudly multiple times. Camera flashes were going off, arms were being waved furiously and when Adam actually came to the railing and waved at us all, I thought the place was going to combust with lurve :wub:
It was a fun wait. I re-connected with some Aussie fans I had met at the GNT concerts two years ago and got to catch up with the lovely Katie Purvis, who was in a constant state of squee over her interview with Adam the next day. The Take40 camera crew arrived and for some reason :  they kept singling out a whole lot of the NZGT for pics and interviews #we'reanoisyopinionatedbunch It was definitely party mode all round.
Fianlly, they opened the doors. Security was really good. They let us in in groups of about 10. I was in the third group I think, so after daintily hurtling up the stairs and going through an anxious moment when the barcode on my ticket wouldn't scan, I got to the stage and was second from the front on the far(ish) my right. eri9 and AJ (Totes4Realz) were actually sitting on the edge of the stage and I was behind AJ. Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee......
So, I have still not processed that I have left NZ yet and here I am standing closer to the stage than I could have ever dreamed of in my wildest fantasies, in Sydney and about to witness the epic of AFL up closer than any of my other concerts (except for Sydney GNT that is ) I was in a daze to be honest.
A lady I had been talking to on the line to, ended up behind me, slightly to my left and she had a big assed camera which she had snuck in and explained to me that she wanted to make HD vids. That lady was ohmishy and I see some of her vids have now been posted along with her great concert review. She was lovely. But we both had a major bitch session when the hubby of the two women in front of me at the stage arrived. He was that 7 foot ogre that she mentioned >:( He managed to block a whole lot of people's views including hers and she had to really struggle to get clear shots of Adam. His wife was quite tall too, so she managed to block quite a lot of my view too. Oh well, I was still in seventh heaven tho. The lady behind me on the other side was a NZGT member who I had not heard of until the previous morning when we both frantically connected via twitter trying to sort out our hotels. She had just bought an ebay ticket at an eye watering price the night before the 3 spare tickets popped up for me, so she was scrabbling time wise to get organised as well. What's so funny is that this stranger lady and I would be ~sharing a double bed with each other before the night was out. :4OMG: Fuck I love this fandom...lololol
So, the venue slowly filled up. It was tiny, but had real atmosphere. Music was pumping, everyone was talking at a million miles an hour and the excitement was palable. Some guy came to the mike and started winding the crowd up by making us do ~practice screams/cheers for when the cameras started to roll for realz. Ha, he doesn't know Adam's fans very well. We don't NEED to practice!!!
And then.......
