IF Adam is a judge, I don't think Idol is going to let TMZ be the source to break the news. I knew the "comeback to Idol" would end up being something silly. I did too. TMZ does bait and switch stories like this all the time. The last judge announcement was on September 22. They could wait that long this time, but if they do, I expect we will see more clues along the way. They could definitely wait, but Nicki is going back out of the country by mid Oct. I don't think she is going to want to fly back and forth. She could I suppose. |

How come Keith Urban didn't have to cancel his concert dates? Why would Adam have an empty calendar? I'm totally kafutzed and not finding this much fun. Maybe I'm just being delusional about AI and Adam is just taking September off. Back to real life. According to Q, Urban's schedule is free after September 4. |

I had just changed it to "a couple of more weeks" when I thought about Nicki's schedule. lol The call-back rounds before season 10 took seven weeks to complete and included 3 weekends. |

@americanidol twitted yesterday that today is the last day for audition. How long does it usually take them to sort out the schedule for the judges round? Have they planned for it yet, can any AI expert here find it?

Have they planned for it yet, can any AI expert here find it? During Season 10, the last audition date and the first callback date were just one week apart. They schedule the earlier audition dates for the earliest callback dates. When is it that Nicki has to be in Europe? |

Have they planned for it yet, can any AI expert here find it? I can't imagine that they haven't planned the locations, but I haven't heard a peep. You can go to each season's Wiki page and see the previous seasons' timeline. Look for a table. It will have the audition locations, date, then call back location and date. There is sort of no real specific timing when everything has to occur other than before Thanksgiving. I'd paste it here, though I think it is a too much scrolling for something that is almost OT... plus all the details are interesting.  ETA: Tigerlily - Nicki is back either on the 14th or 15th of Oct. to Paris. Then she is in Europe for ~ 2 weeks. Maybe somewhere after that as well. I didn't bother retaining that info. ETA Again!: Looks like they are taking these "buses" into small downs up the middle of the country. From CO to the south, scouting out new talent that don't travel to the big city. Probably one reason for the NEED for a country judge. Too bad I don't like country music or I might be jazzed about this. The last audition is a bus audition. |

koshka: Thanks for the dates for Nicki. Like you, I can't bother to commit too much brain energy to her schedule. It looks like it usually takes around seven weeks to do the callback rounds. If Nicki and Adam are judges, they need to start these callback rounds the early part of next week! That says we should get some type of announcement this week, if Adam and/or Nicki are on the panel.
