Glam rocker Adam Lambert treated his Sydney fans to a special one-off acoustic show off Oxford Street last week, before her headed to Melbourne where he was snapped enjoying on a Sunday night out at Love Machine.

Only a few hundred people were allowed into the intimate The Standard venue, as many more ‘Glambert’ fans of the singer/songwriter kept a vigil outside in the square, where they could hear some of the concert.

The stripped-back nature of the night provided a rare no-frills showcase for Lambert’s extraordinary voice. He performed tracks from his newest album Trespassing, and a couple of covers, including Bob Marley’s 1978 hit Is This Love.

The talented 30-year-old, who’s now strongly rumoured to be joining the judging panel of American Idol for its next season, then headed to Melbourne, where he did a ‘guerilla gig’ in Federation Square. Our cameras later snapped him partying with the crowd at Gossip Sundays in South Yarra’s Love Machine.

His devoted ‘Glamberts’ are desperate to see pop superstar Adam Lambert sitting next to Mariah Carey on the ‘American Idol’ judging panel next season – but is there any truth to the rumours?

“I’m still waiting to hear myself! I think I’m being considered, that’s all I know,” Adam told MTV Australia when he hit town for a whirlwind promotional tour last week.

“I would love to be on the show, I think it would be really fun. And if it doesn’t work out then maybe something will in the future.”

The ‘Never Close Our Eyes’ singer came second in the eighth series of the hugely popular show back in 2009, and as an ‘Idol’ veteran Lambert says he’d be keen to pass on the lessons he learnt to those competing this time around.

“When the idea first came up and the conversations first started I was like ‘this would be the craziest full circle moment wouldn’t it?’”

“I would love the opportunity to help contestants out in achieving their dreams and reaching their goals, knowing what it takes to go through the show and how stressful and kind of how wild and bizarre it all is. I think it would kind of help them to have someone on the panel who has been right where they are.”

Since leaving the show Adam has forged an extremely successful international music career for himself, with two massive albums to his name and stack of hit singles to match. His latest album ‘Trespassing’ recently debuted at number one on the US Billboard chart.

We were lucky enough to sit down with the lovely Adam Lambert last week when he was here for the Take 40 Live Lounge, and he took a few moments to give us some amazing love advice as our Celebrity Love Doctor!

As 50 Shades of Grey seems to be the romance story on everyone's lips on at the moment, we wanted to know Adam's thoughts on the book!

Adam revealed 'I have a feeling you could probably get a lot of ideas from the book. I haven't read it, (but) I'm sure it's thought provoking, inspiring, (you could) take notes, get positions... props.'

'There's probably a lot of creativity that comes from it in the bedroom, I would guess.'

Adam also revealed that he found his current partner at a nightclub, and whether he believes in getting even after a bad breakup.

We had so much fun with Adam, and we can't wait till he hits our shores again in October!

Prepare to be glammed. As we first reported, Adam Lambert will be doing a guest appearance on Pretty Little Liars' Halloween Special and now we have a freaking clip. Keep in mind they show very little of him, but that's better than nothing and this will totally whet your appetite. The episode, which will air October 23 at 8/7c, will have him performing two songs on a train. Hop aboard!!

From what we see here, he is incredible, but who's surprised? Am I right, Glamberts? As one of our viewers, Barbls said on the Bob Marley 'Is This Love' video post, 'there is no genre he cannot make his own'. SO very true.
