It's a great lineup .. As far as that Yahoo,fan write up of Adam. I totally agree with her ,so do many others in show business. I think,like Meatloaf,Paula,Queen and many others ,It's a matter of time before Adam becomes a singer of epic proportions. I saw it happen with all the singers that he mentioned.. He's right on IMHO. The writer is a she, not a he.  SHE... lol Alanis is the headliner. PP is the opener. |

Re: the radio show in Texas: Actually, Adam tweeted about Gavin DeGraw awhile ago -- actually they tweeted one another. This might be the first time they meet, and who knows what could happen? ETA: I can't believe that Adam is on a bill with Gavin Degraw and tweet buddies with him. What would Randy Travis say. This could end in so many ways. But it has to end in September. There is a real possibility that Adam wants more money to do Idol than they want to pay him. They are already spending a ton of money on judges -- around $30+ million for 3 judges. Can't imagine they will spend $4-$5 million on the 4th judge. And I would HATE to see Adam do this for less than $5 million. Plus, they have to pay Randy and $35 million for Ryan. (Judges get more than the salary -- they get a lot of expensive +++'s) If the rumor about Urban is true (and I think it is) why would you not expect Adam to get about the same amount of $$? I did not say that they would sign Adam for $4-5 million -- I said I would hate it if he signed for less than $4-5 million. Two different things. And IMO Adam = more viewers than Keith Urban. Even THR put Adam up with the big stars on their chart. My calculation is that Adam could make $4 million touring with Queen or in Vegas at this point. He could earn $100K a week on Broadway -- maybe more. I would hate to see him sell out to Idol cheap thinking that anyone will buy recorded music next year. Seriously, look at music sales. It will soon be over. --- Regarding Keith Urban -- he could not sell out the Niagara Casino. He has been plagued with vocal problems. Idol is perfect for him right now. I am surprised they paid him that much. JMHO YMMV. --- Who is the bigger star? IMHO Adam is a bigger celebrity, Keith Urban is a more successful recording artist. TV judging is about celebrity. I say Adam is worth slightly more than Keith Urban. A simple example: Google Trends past 12 months -- Adam = 1.00 Keith Urban =0.48 www.google.com/trends/?q=Adam+Lambert,+Keith+Urban&ctab=0&geo=all&date=ytd&sort=0 --- Regarding Demi taking $1 million -- I blame her management for not cutting a better deal -- after taxes, agents, lawyers, etc. she will earn $400K if she is lucky. I think Demi needs new management because she is worth more than 6.6667% of Britney. Once again JMHO YMMV. |

It's not always about money up front. Sometimes it's about being wise enough to know which things are worth investing in. At this stage of the game, it's not about what you are making going into the process- it's what you get from the show and what you are making when you leave the show!
That 400K is money in Demi's pocket, plus she has a song headed to #1 on the CHR charts. The season hasn't even started! Being the "low cost option" is working in Demi's favor, she was a smart girl for looking at the big picture.
Vegas? PLEASE NO!
Queen? Adam seems ready to perform his own music.
