The follows of AI and MC only confirm that he received the go ahead to BE OPEN about the fact that he was being considered, instead of just calling it a rumor. As long as he had to play the 'beautiful rumor' storyline, he could not follow them, because his follows are being watched. Once it was public domain that he was being considered for the job, he was free to do so. He does not need to actually HAVE the job to follow them.
So it proves the shift that occurred between Japan and AU was based on some go ahead in agreement with idol, it does not signify that he is an AI judge.
@alexandrakv, that is the beauty of the 'green light' expression. It can either mean green light to talk about it or green light to have the job. We don't know and therefore Adam's words are the modern version of a Delphi oracle. Clever boy, but that is what we love about him.

What makes me feel good about things is that they are clearly patterning the Idol panel to match The Voice. You have Mariah matching up with Christina, Keith and Blake, Nicki and CeeLo. Which means they are looking for their Adam Levine, in other words, a male pop guy. Apart from Adam (and Enrique) who else is out there? Bruno and Justin T. aren't going to do it. Who else is there... I think if Enrique can be eliminated, Adam is in. Ding...Ding...Ding!  Here's to hoping that Enrique wants too much money or that the producers decided not to go with him. He seems like a nice guy and he isn't hard on the eyes, but he has a rather bland personality. Any way that I look at it, Adam is the ONE Idol contestant from the last 11 years who is even being considered at this time. He is also in a select group of highly respected, successful artists. I'm proud of Adam, whichever way it ends up going! |

ok, you guys have worn me down to make one of my rare posts. I have never been in the "i believe" column, more the "it's possible" one. I think however, that the most powerful piece of information has been the silence by the label on the next single. If he was not in contention for idol, that single would be out already. The label thinks he is going to get it and they are waiting. If they thought idol was just a possibility, they would most likely release the single to increase his chances. They see the most profit/success in waiting for idol and using that press to make the single a hit. JMO
My dad always says, when in doubt of someones intentions - follow the money.
