ok, you guys have worn me down to make one of my rare posts. I have never been in the "i believe" column, more the "it's possible" one. I think however, that the most powerful piece of information has been the silence by the label on the next single. If he was not in contention for idol, that single would be out already. The label thinks he is going to get it and they are waiting. If they thought idol was just a possibility, they would most likely release the single to increase his chances. They see the most profit/success in waiting for idol and using that press to make the single a hit. JMO My dad always says, when in doubt of someones intentions - follow the money. - excellent observation! ITA!!!! Ditto!!!!!! |

The vids from the Mezamashi TV broadcast are the gravy that goes along with today's serving of mashed potatoes  I hope we have more gravy today Hoping for more gravy as well...late Friday afternoon has been bringing us some lately. I agree the single release has something to do with his being in contention for idol, but I disagree that the delay proves he has the gig. He's had two singles that went nowhere, and there's no guarantee that a third single would be any different. Even if the song ended up being a hit, it wouldn't rise quickly enough to make a difference. I think they're delaying because he has a real shot. If he gets the gig, they might wait till February/March of 2013 to release the single. |

6 months from now? Definitely don't think they'll release the single that late.

If Adam gets the gig, there will be a ton of press in the next few weeks. I am sure the label would like to use this press to get the new song out there. Of course, this doesn't mean that Adam has the job. But, Idol press is a big enough deal to hold the single just in case.

I think they're delaying because he has a real shot. Yes, this is the point that stood out for me. If he has no shot, no reason for a delay. |

They def WILL NOT WAIT till next year for the next single. It will be either Trespassing or Cuckoo, and it will be released before the PLL episode on Oct. 23.
