HI myspenser50...What I don't understand about Idol and Adam. in July it seemed like an almost done deal that Adam was going to be on the show,article after article was about the matchup. Of course Idol said nothing and Adam hinted at a new job. Then the bottom dropped out and Adam was barely ever mentioned in August. What happened to change the dynamics? Then there was a rush to find other judges outside of Adam. So confusing. Did Adam talk too much& therefore did he break his contract? Was there a contract? Why is every other judge known, but for the fourth judge?They had to know that Randy was leaving the panel?Does Enrique even want the gig?If Adam really has it,why doesn't AI just say so? As far as I can determine, and with all deference to several ATop members who I respect, Adam does not have a deal with Idol but may be closer now than ever to getting an offer. Trust me, I would love to believe that Adam was signed to Idol and is just waiting for the surprise announcement. But to believe this, I would need to believe...... > Adam has been lying since July -- lying to the press and lying to fans. Adam has never even said he was in negotiation with Idol. Just that Idol was a possibility. > Adam twitted a lie in the Ambian Twitter party. He did not need to select this question to answer. And then he lied to fans about not knowing? > FOX, Core and Nigel have been leaking Idol judge news like a sieve. But for some reason Adam's the one name they are not leaking. > That someone at FOX/Core leaked the desire to sign Enrique to Shirley Halperine (one of their favorite reporters) when they already had Adam signed. > That they strung Nick Jonas along knowing they had already signed Adam. Or that Nick was lying about being in negotiations with Idol. > That "sources" leaked that Adam was in negotiation with Idol after he had a contract. > That Shoshanna Stone knew that Idol was going to be behind schedule this year and there would be a press event in LA that she needed to be involved with in Late September. And that this press event was related to Adam and Idol. I think it is more likely that Adam has talked to Idol and that the judge position is a possibility. It just fits what we know better. |

Idol/FOX haven't announced anyone but Mariah. Everything else you read is rumor/gossip by media. The statement by Fuller has been the only statement from anyone connected with show since the Mariah announcement. Oh and Nigel made a statement too. And both Simon Fuller and Nigel said nothing in their statements. |

But the individual files look in sync to you? The individual files and whole show file look the same to me in the singing sections (the individual files having no interviews). You could try the download again. And if you want to know how to readjust the audio/video syncing there is a free software that can easily do it for you. It just takes some trial and error to find the right amount of delay. Or, there is a free software that can link together the individual files into one file if you prefer this. I could write up the instructions and post on the tech help page. WTH I did a 3rd download and it looks ok now. I have no idea why. When I downloaded the 2nd time, I didn't delete the 1st. This time I deleted the other 2 before downloading. ETAYes, the individual songs were fine with the 1st download. She did do some remixing to get the whole show file in the first place. So she may have found the out of sync problem and corrected and re-uploaded the file. I downloaded at 5:26 pm est today, so if your other 2 downloads were before this, that could be explaination. |

Nielsen tracks individual viewers not TV sets. So they know who is watching and what they are watching and when they are watching. So they track broadcast and time delayed viewing. Nielsen uses a sample of US TV viewers and then projects that across the whole population. Advertisers select ad buys and pay based upon the Neilsen ratings which are quite accurate. That's what I don't understand. How? How do they track individual viewers? A home usually has more than one person in it. I have never understood how TV ratings are determined. I thought Nielsen does their survey by calling each of the household. Howmany members in your household What's the age how many tv you have etc. Or they use other data that avaialable for them.
