TP is all about attitude. IMO, the recent version would not work at all. If people hear that version on TV I don't think they would be compelled to go and buy it on iTunes. The way it was done at the NNN awards is how it should be done I agree! I like the NNN version the best! I hadn't listened to that in awhile..I agree..what punch Adam had in that performance. A statement. Polls..no, can't do. I have songs I gravitate to depending on my mood. I know Shady always makes me slink around but I see Trespassing as a body of work and don't personally want to create separation. Not any reflection on anyone who has faves or likes polls, tho.

I never skip songs while Trespassing is playing in my car. I really love them all in varying degrees at different times of the day and depending on my mood. I skipped BTIKM at first but only because I had played it for so long nonstop when it was our one and only new song. I now find myself enjoying it again because it brings back memories of finally hearing something new. I definitely have songs I look forward to more than the others. I tend to favor the first half a bit more than the second because I love to dance. While dancing, and definitely while driving, I repeat Kickin' In the most although I wouldn't say it's my absolute favorite because I have more than one that I'm insanely in love with. Unlike many fans, I appreciate Runnin' but it's not near the top for me. I wonder if RCA regrets not starting with Trespassing. It represents Adam and the album so well. I voted for Trespassing in the poll because it's pretty certain it will be the next single and should anyone view the poll, I wanted to make sure it was well represented! Plus it's always near or at the top of my top 10 rotating favorite Trespassing songs. One final note: I believe.

Agree with you. TP reminds me of I Want It All - I really like the live performances best. I think TP is a very visual song.
If I Haaaaad to pick five faves - Shady, Runnin', TP, PTL, and Chokehold. But it depends a lot on the time of day and mood I'm in :-)ETA - by visual I mean it has a swagger, a sneer (in a good way)

off topic - but Adam related. I traded in my car yesterday for a new one; got home from the dealership and realized that I had emptied everything out of the old car except the Trespassing CD in the CD changer. Wonder how that is going to turn out?

I am right in thinking how well a song transfers to a live performance has very little baring on if it will be a hit because a song becomes a hit by lots of radio play? Most people never hear the song live. Of course, a song that is great live is nice for fans who attend concerts and follow live performances on youtube, but in the march towards platinum a fantastic album cut is what really matters.
