It would be nice if fans saw Adam more like a long distance runner than a sprinter. He's unique... IMHO, as much as Adam would like to sit at the High school lunch table with the popular kids,it may not be in the cards .. he's a star onto himself,Sometimes that's a lonely journey but often it's the path to greatness. I am convinced that Adam is doing much better than I thought with this second album. When Q3 stated that the Album is only 25% of the earnings for Trespassing, I was elated. I truly don't have any idea what the real facts about it's success are, but I am feeling really GOOD . I get what you're saying. And as long as the label is willing to stick by the long distance runner, than it is no problem. I just hope that the label is patient. I do think they see Adam as someone who's potential is worth the investment.

Yes!!!! He is doing well internationally!!!
If it's compared to FYE going into its 5th month of release, then not as well, especially in some markets where it should've totally done much better, but TSP did pick up some other markets where FYE didn't and will continue to do well with help of a new single on the radio and other promo events, and...there's still the world tour next year which surely will spike up the sales too!
Besides, I think Adam is not quite out of his first 3 year "360" contract, yet, which means the label gets a piece of everything with his name on it, including his concert appearances. So, I wouldn't worry at all that RCA is not milking the cow!
I don't think Adam has a 360 contract. I'm thinking that a while ago Adam answered "No" to that question on Twiiter or to a fan question in one of the thousands of interviews he's done, but don't ask me to find it!! LOL A conservative estimate could easily get you at 160K for the album in the US and the same internationally. The album could easily end up with around 400K worldwide total sales the first year, and that's if this third single doesn't take off and get to 10M AI. When you look at the other Idols who have been dropped this year, you have: Kris at 25K, Cook at 130K in 15 months, and Kellie Pickler at 77K. These three had no presence in any market outside of the US. Their singles followed the same pattern as far as sales totals and no interest outside of the US. How posters at MJs can believe that 400K is comparable in any way to 25K is beyond me! That's not even touching on the revenue from singles, remixes, ringtones, merchandising and the use of Adam's music in commercials and ads all over the world. Not to mention, the fact that there is worldwide recognition and potential in many directions for future revenue. (I had a post about this very thing in The Dark Thread recently, when comparisons were being made to Cook, so I won't rehash it all. ) All this to say, the posters at MJs are just bitter and are basically spinning non-facts and illogical reasoning to further their agenda. I sympathize with the fans of those that were dropped, but they need to just leave it at that and worry about their own special snowflake instead of dragging Adam into it every time.

I FLOVE this post!!
No, Adam does not have a 360 contract like Bieber, but the first 3 years of his contract terms in essence works pretty much like 360 contract, so I read. Q3 knows more about this topic 'cuz she actually read the contract which filed with the court in L.A.
Kellie Pickler got dropped too?? when?

It's all because they think international sales don't count and when they do, they amount to nothing. I tried pulling in facts last night over there, (like 30K in 3 countries alone in it's first week) with actual numbers and a list of how many countries this album is selling in. It meant NOTHING to them! I have decided, finally, I must just stay away. Adam is so far beyond their pettiness! (It does piss me off tho, when one particular person's nonsense is taken as fact!)
ETA: Pickler got dropped about a month or so ago. She will be fine, IMO. Her personality alone will get her jobs!

Seems like they are just insisting that Adam has sold absolutely minimal in every country. Like, if he opened at 10K first week, they are guesstimating that his 2nd week was 2 or 3K. I have absolutely no idea where they are getting the numbers---just making them up, I guess. (That thread over there is kind of hilarious actually. It went from a Kris thread to a complete dissection of Adam's international album sales)

LOL Of course, all our posts were deleted. Whatever, the facts we were posting made sense and they know it. ETA: mys*&@^#r: Yep, it's still there. : I also agree with you about Kellie, she will continue to be an asset to country music in some way due to her personality and the goodwill she has established.

She let people go on all day ragging about Adam's sales and making up their own numbers to back up their false claims and then she finally decided to delete. What a crock!

How do you set up a Facebook account that you can use for voting etc. but doesn't link to your real name?
