Hey, I really hate being snarky but saw Mariah perform on some sort of NFL kickoff program.....it really wasn't very good -- Triumph? I think. In any case, it made me realize what continually annoyed me about her in the past -- that one obnoxiously very, very, very high note which she can squeeze off. It's almost always present in her live performances. For me, it's like yeah, ok, you can sing a high note but......
It made me feel more then infuriated that this is the talent that Adam butts up against.....
Queen Latifah is singing the Nat Anthem with a jubilation choir -- nice! Joyful!

I go to the movies for the first time in two years and look what happens - we've got the SINGLE fainnly! So, being that none of us are surprised at the choice (except for TeddyBear ) - any speculation on the timing? The "all in good time" tweet tells me that there is careful timing considerations on the rest of the announcement and add date... ...gives me hope...

Fuck, yeah! TRESPASSING as the next single!! Woo-hoo!!! I can not wait to hear this on my radio. Now THIS is a song that just screams "Adam Fucking Lambert" is back!!!"
(This single is the life of the party, unlike the other two that tentatively waved at everyone and quietly just sat there like pretty wallflowers.) :D
I'll leave the worry about numbers and adds and promo to others; I'm happy about this choice! Even though I'm a shadybert at heart.

It's a whistle note, and that's her trademark- kind of like Adam's high notes. Mariah isn't the talent that Adam is bumping up against. She sold her 200 million albums before Adam ever released his first album. Adam is bumping up against the teen pop stars, UK crossovers and diva pop girls at this moment. His competition on the Pop charts isn't Mariah Carey.

.....could it mean that Pharrell AND Adam have judging spots? That's what we thought before they announced Nicki! Unless she is out, which as an Idol fan would make me extremely happy, I'd say no Pharrell! But, what if her recent shenanigans have Idol rethinking?! Exactly what I've been thinking! Perhaps the Idol producers didn't really understand what they were getting into with an artist like NM. Idol does pride itself on trying to stay somewhat "family friendly". The lyrics of Nicki's songs and her videos might be pushing the line WAAYYY further than they are willing to take a chance on. Adam, Mariah, Keith and Pharrell- I like it!!
