Easy to say "Let it be over with"... but goodness - it hasn't even been a whole day since we heard. It takes a bit of time to wrap our heads around this disappointment. I really thought he had the job. :-/ Sorry, bb, but how do we know he doesn't?? Have I missed an official announcement? If it doesn't come from Adam or Fox/Idol, it ain't official in my world. I want the best for Adam too..this has been a long haul for us all. Meant no offense... No!! I'm not sure why this random article all of a sudden meant the end. We've seen tons of reports saying the same basic thing for weeks and we didn't believe those. What happened to "he's had this since July". What happened to "he's got this" and food analogies? If none of the articles from places like THR or ENews meant anything, and all the signs pointed to Adam being a judge on Idol, what changed with this one random article from DEADLINE? Shirley H. at THR and TMZ has been fairly reliable with spoilers over the years, but people didn't believe that, so what is up all of a sudden with this random blog? I'm trying to figure out what changed?

For me, reading this news is a shock. It's like being eight and learning there's no Santa Claus. Except I'm not sure if I ever really believed in Santa Claus or just pretended that I did so I'd get presents. But I really deep down believed I'd see Adam on Idol. I'm sad about the opportunity lost. I'm not naturally optimistic (now I have a painful reminder why), but being an Adam fan has changed me in lots of ways, so I'll continue to be hopeful that things will work out for the best, I guess. Positive thought--"Trespassing" really does sound good on the radio. ....I could never figure out why Adam Santa had the same handwriting as my mom BUT I was still shocked to hear that the Santa myth was not true. It was fun while it lasted though. I still say there's a SLIVER of hope for Idol.

I hear ya, vivlite and grandduchesspf. I wrote this tldr post the other day about not trusting media reports. I always assumed that Deadline was pretty reliable, though, but I don't know anymore. I'm trying to figure out what I'm supposed to learn from this situation. I don't think it's "don't be so invested," because I don't feel that I'm invested in an obsessive way. Maybe it's a self-centered way to look at things, but I think I am on this "journey" (to borrow an overused Idol term) at this time in my life for a reason. It's been mostly fun (which I needed) and I've gained many valuable life lessons so far.
When Adam posted the picture yesterday I thought maybe he had seen the EW article, too, and was telling us to be calm, despite what we might hear about him not getting the job. Should I go with my first feeling? Trust a bitch? Trust my instincts? Or just trust that everything will be okay in the end? Just trying to prepare myself for any outcome, I guess.

Yes, I admit, I was sad and disappointed and I started crying about the negative news (although we don't know yet for sure if they are true!)! And it’s not because I was too optimistic and thought he would definitely get the job, it’s more because of the injustice of our time! Is everybody out there deaf and blind and dumb? It seems to me that the common sense doesn’t count anymore in this day and age! I’m so angry that they chose someone else instead of him again although he clearly would have been the better choice! And don’t you all think that deep inside Adam is disappointed, too? I think he is and he only doesn’t show it that much to the public! :( My biggest hope now is that there is a good backup plan and it was not only ramblings that there is more to come in September! I only hope that every Glambert will be so consequent that they don’t watch any episode of the next AI-season, not for five minutes (except Adam is there to perform!)! >:( Sorry, had to blow off steam, now I'm feeling better again! ;D

Does no one else feel sad about this? Is it just stiff-upper-lip time or what. I feel kind of like after the Idol finale - empty feeling in pit of stomach. Guess I was clinging on to hope unjustified. Now I have to hope and pray he gets seen and heard by the masses somehow. :( Am I sad? No! I also will hold onto my hope until FOX and Idol announce, especially after that Nicki Minaj interview! It's funny that FOX possibly hired 2 people who know they'd make lousy judges! If this panel is true, I think Idol missed an opportunity to have a vibrant panel. At least with Keith and Adam, they would have 2 people who can judge. But, Idol and FOX are keeping with their ways of not listening to bloggers and fans who simply asked for "judges who judge." I don't see who, out of these 4, will be the one that holds them all together. As a faithful Idol fan for 11 seasons, they will finally lose me as a viewer. And it's not just because Adam is not there. There are other problems with these rumored 4! I think I just became a HUGE X Factor and Voice fan! ;D Oh, forgot to mention! SO FRICKIN EXCITED ABOUT TRESPASSING!!!!!!!!! I am not worried about Adam in the least! ETA: My mashed potatoes are in the microwave!

102.9 NOW @1029now 30 minutes until #NowTexasTango tickets go on sale! Get details here on how to purchase & get ready to get your seats! www.1029now.comJust got my Texas Tango tickets....look like pretty good seats. I'm sure the radio station reserved a lot of center seats. Going with some P2 fans-should be interesting. Was in the car driving when I heard Trespassing on 102.9 last night in Dallas-sounded so great on the radio right!!??? [/IMG] As for Idol-just want it to be over. Have a feeling he will have some role but maybe not being a judge-time will tell. Nothing we can do either way!
I hope you have fun, I would love to go too, but it's a Monday night concert, don't think I can do it. Don't forget the station will play Trespassing again at 8:10 Central tonight.
