Here's my husbands perspective on Idol...he's never been an idol fan, but he appreciates my love for Adam. anyway...When i told him that it was most likely going to be Mariah, Nicki and Keith with Adam being a possibility for the 4th spot, his reaction was, "Why would Adam want to be part of that train wreck and seen as part of the reason for Idol's demise." He thinks that Idol is on its way down the tubes...and that this last desperate attempt is going to be even worse than the Jlo Steven Tyler debacle as far as judges go. In his mind, Adam is too good and too "relevant" for idol (yes, he used that term, even tho he never saw Adam's audition). I'm only sad because it seemed like Adam wanted it, otherwise I'm happy I have my Tuesday and Wednesday nights free!! I just finished reading the thread and I really have avoided commenting on the AI judge drama. I have no idea if Adam will be a judge on AI and I only care because it's what Adam would like to do. But Lakato I kind of look at AI like your DL. So I'm not going to worry about AI and if Adam doesn't get it I can watch vids like these below that remind me that some truly big artists in the industry appreciate Adam's unique and amazing talent. They get it. Adam will be GREAT with or without Idol. It is written in the UNIVERSE!! www.pressparty.com/pg/newsdesk/londonnewsdesk/view/54455/www.pressparty.com/pg/newsdesk/adamlambert/view/41698/I tried to find the video of the Boston DJ (Matt Siegel) introducing Adam at the 2010 Boston Kiss concert where he said AFL was a 'once in a generation' performer but I couldn't find it. I love that introduction. ;D Thanks for this post. I was getting really irritated how Adam is always flailing about other artists, unprompted, and I don't feel other artists do that about him (other than his collaborators or friends). Thanks for reminding me that there were a few, and some were biggies like Queen and Meatloaf. Wish there were some more recently.

This (MC, AL, PW, KU), Lynne I agree with you, would be imo the ideal panel, given that MC is a given. I wish wholeheartedly that you are right. All fingers and toes crossed. Brad Paisley would have been even better.
Not sure how making an offer to both Nicki and Enrique is helping get us there, or why idol would make such offers, if the slot were already filled by Adam and Pharrell (and at least Nicki has been open about being asked, just is somewhat coy about saying which way she will decide).
So, I am skeptical, but certainly would totally appreciate, if you were right.
Jean1010, so sorry, did not want you to get beat up here. I actually understand that different folks have different ways of processing and tend to usually read yours and few others here with that grain of salt, knowing this. But I also understand those that say that such posts are what brings them down. Really can see both sides here.
Not sure what to tell you. Only thing I can think of, is sometimes write down what you feel, store it somewhere and think it over, but don't send it off. Or at least don't send it off without first writing up the other side too. Or use the dark thread. Sometimes I get dark too, then, as I try to balance it out I get too analytical and people don't like that either and I hear back about that. Some days it is hard to post and not have somebody protest. But, I was not trying to protest your posts. Actually my goal was to show that there are plus and minus to either side. That actually helped me to disengage and so I thought others might find that helpful too. Did not expect that to end up targeting yourself. Sorry, if my post triggered that. Was not intended.

Madonna is coming up very fast on Grammy Poll, and after spending all day at about 4% is now at 28%. Adam is still in the lead but going down fast. Now at 39%. I think I will be happy if we but in a good showing. Back to voting, and try to join in if you have time.

When others are constantly complaining about those who are worrying, it just adds to the pile. j/s Saw this on another board from a fan who is also a member here, and thought that it expressed how some may be feeling after today: Yes to the bolded ^^^ YES.YES.YES.
