Adam said he was waiting for the green light. Can we send him some mods, please... Here you go!    Does Simon Fuller have a big say on deciding who becomes a AI judge? I remember hearing that he was at two of the Adam/Queen Concerts in London. Surly he was able to experience the 'charisma and star power' of AFL first hand. Adam was a true professional and he had the tough Freddie crowd in the palm of his hand. And the love and respect between Adam-Brian-Roger...and the whole Queen band...was very apparent by the fun and joy you could see on all their faces performing together! Adam killed it with Queen and Simon Fuller saw it first hand....and he knows Adam would kill it as a AI judge. I was thinking that would have sealed the deal. JMO. |

My heart wishes that Rihannsu's prediction is right and I wish he and Pharrell even had that whole thing in the bag and tied with a bow in July. But there is no way I could explain multiple articles since then and especially the offers that have gone out to Enrique and Nicki at varying $ amounts. Nicki has not denied that an offer was made. Only said she would not comment on her response to it. Not sure right now whether we ever had a confirmation that Enrique has actually received an offer or whether this was just media reports, but my impression is that the offer at least has gone out and that he is the 'preferred' candidate. If Adam and/or Pharrell had that wrapped up in July, how would these offers to others be explained? Is the media full of crap and the offers were never made? Or...Idol is now in the business of making phantom offers with millions involved? Somehow all this does not quite add up. I get the impression that they got a one-sided yes from Adam to a possible contract (without a binding commitment on their side and they are using him (and Randy) as back-up plans, but that they really want the other candidates. And to be honest, that stinks and stings, because that means they are not truly valuing him as they should. He is for the judging job at the mercy of Enrique not signing, which could still happen, but is of course less likely. If Nicki is not signing, I think they will rather get either Randy back into the panel or go for Pharrell. I actually think, this producer/executive team has exactly the mess at their hands that the gossip press has been reporting and yes, I think they are STUPID to not value Adam more in all things he can bring to this panel. So, this is how I see his chances. Not entirely gone yet, but dependent of Enrique. Glad, Adam had fun yesterday. He clearly needed to party and relax and that was the environment he could do that in, that is what I read from the tweet. And lol at the thought that Adam is going to alter his behavior to accommodate anyone. He is TRESPASSING his world into mid-American living rooms, not letting mid-America define his world. Done that for 3 years now and not for a minute do I think this is going to change. Good for him! Because one extemely important detail: EVERYTHING COMES FROM AI. THe erroneous rumors have been deliberately planted along with the truth sprinkled in. AI feeds the press what it wants them to report in order to keep this game alive. They have several "partners" (Shirley, TMZ - a Fox company) and they give them good information and they give them the Miley, Snoop, P Diddy rumors as well. idol has leaked exactly what they want leaked and always keep it shrouded in indefinite mystery (except Mariah). None of this is on accident. When all is said and done, we'll go back and probably find out that 75-80% of everything reported (which all has to come from AI because they are the only ones tht know - with the exception of the few thing said directly by the prospective judges in question) turns out to be untrue. I agree that FOX/Idol is feeding the rumors to generate press and buzz. And my guess remains that they will put the "big news" out there around the Fall Premiere week (around 9/12 to 9/20) when there is a lot of news focus on TV programming. But how does anyone know which rumors are erroneous? At least a few appear to be true. And in 2010, the rumors/leaks to these same reporters turned out to be true. For example, I think is true that the judges contracts are not signed. But FOX has not said anything official -- and this is just my opinion based on the news reports of "sources" and statements of the people who appear to be on the short list, for example: On Thursday 9.6.12, Keith Urban when asked to address the rumors that he will be named as a judge on the next season of American Idol said, "I would love to do it and hopefully that happens." No denial. That says to me that he is really on the list but not final. |

Apparently, Fuller has been brought back into the fray to help revamp Idol for this 12th season. I did a quick check to see where that was reported, but only found where Fuller is quoted in the Steven Tyler exit articles as the "creator and executive producer," which sounds like he is currently the executive producer, which means he is the Big Cheese and yes, I think he is VERY aware of all Adam brings the the table. |

thanks AdisaM for answering my question about PLL. My post was a bit out of place amongst the idol chatter. I appreciate that you saw it and responded. I hope I can find season three online. I am looking forward to seeing Adam on the halloween episode! I don't know how big the audience is, but it really is a great show that I never would have checked out if it were not for ADAM! Analysis of Adam's tweets is something I enjoy you guys doing! It is funny that some tweets are overlooked. I think the fact he capped EVERYTHING has some significance beyond "great time". To me it meant getting back to what is real meaningful and "cumfy" in his life. kind of like the FS2 concert I love that he is surrounded by love. he will be ok. i get comfort from that. |

None of this is on accident. So, if I understand you right here, you believe idol planted the story that they have made offers to Nicki and Enrique. Are you thinking that Nicki and Enrique are just playing along on an untrue story or do you think there was an offer? :dunno: Somehow I am having a hard time believing that either way. But I do think that there is a chance that Enrique will say no and therefore Adam is in. And I wish Nicki would say no too, because I don't think she is good for that panel or for idol, but that is independent of Adam. |

We don't know, which is exactly my point. We won't know until we get the final, formal announcements. And yes, in 2010, those sources reported the eventual judges, but didn't they also report on all the rumors as they were unfolding as well? Truth is sprinkled in with the rumors. Where they begin and end we won't know until announcement.
